Had some fun with it, even though it cost me a few more Stubs than I expected.
Also not sure why it’s limited to only Golds rated 80-84.
Really makes some of those Golds interesting though. Especially the non-LS cards. Gwynn…LaStella…Moncada…won a couple games last night knocking out some God Squads loaded with the same ol’ 99s you see every game.
I stuck with the Nolan Ryan Grizzled Vet boost for my staff.
Here’s a tip…it makes the WBC Wainright very tough…and makes the new Lefty Grove nasty.
And one more day to use it to superjuice LS Kenley Jansen…

LaStella's Gold card is CRACKED! At least offline.
I reluctantly put him in doing Angels PXP and he hit a few out. I was shocked. -
Ive been using the Nolan Ryan card since the start for Yu Darvish alone. His 99 becomes almost the best pitcher I’ve used it has so much control, BB/9, and K/9H/9
Kinda frustrating that soooo many pitchers above 35 are getting flashbacks at age 34 tho. The card could be so much fun but it seems like they are actively not putting out 35+ pitchers. Scherzer could have been so much fun but had to be 34, Loup. When Chapman and Jensen get there’s it’ll be the same thing. It’s just too bad.
Tried Cueto and he got demolished so I didn’t try Wainwright but Lefty looks worthy. Adam Ottavino Topps now would go a long way right now lmao.

But the 2nd HR was on a tough pitch down and in…and I swung with CONTACT because I had 1st and 3rd with two outs in a tie game…and I had two strikes on me…and he shoots a line drive 364 down the line at Yankee Stadium…that induced a rage quit.

I’ve had some success with Cueto…but mostly because people don’t see him and I don’t think the guys I played were very good.
I’m still using the LS Loup with Ryan. The new one is age 34, but he already had 125 H/9…so that doesn’t get boosted.
If you like finesse over power, try the new Rich Hill TN Throwback. I almost don’t want to tell anyone about it.
He’s got the 2 Seam and Sweeping Curve and control is tight. And he’s just kind of annoying to deal with. After an inning I was throwing 91 MPH fastballs by my opponent.
Maybe that won’t work against the goons at higher levels…but my rating was like 500+ and the guy I played had a winning record if I remember correctly.

Would be cool to get a SILVER captain....although I'm probably the only one who'd actually use in online.
not for nothing but with my NMS team I'm upgrading one card per game in the order that I pulled a card from a pack or earned a card from a program... it's a HUGE undertaking and my team has taken a beating in my first two ranked games... it was BRUTAL... lol
