Everything can’t be a homer, right?
-
From a pitching standpoint its been a long time since I’ve let an inning get away from me and the game gets outta hand. I’ll be cruising and somewhere in the middle I’ll just start giving up majestic bombs on perfectly executed pitches. I get it if a pitch goes down the middle it’s inevitable but a back door slider to a lefty on the black or 103 FB outside corner to righty seems like awful bad luck or a game flaw.
On the hitting side the only way to score is to hit HRs which is equally as frustrating. Is this intentional?

If every pitch can have a perfect release and every ball out of the zone can be a foul very early or very late why can’t every hit be a homer?

I won my last event game 4-0 and didn’t hit a single home run.

Kevin gohd’s most recent video between his opponent and himself they hit 33 homeruns . The stadium is a created one with very short fences, but 33 homeruns is ridiculous.

Nothing in his post mentioned any YouTuber. Why would you bring up a guy who makes fake videos in this discussion?

Number 1, to show how broken the game is. But it’s obvious you aren’t bright enough to understand that.

Your probably tipping your pitches. It takes about 3 - 5 innings to pick up an opponents pitching patterns.

It sure seems like HRs are more weighted than other outcomes.
On the flip side, with how the PCI and hitting timing works…if you throw a tough pitch and keep throwing it and throwing it, some good players are going to sit on it eventually…and with how good some of these guys are and how the game favors homers over everything…there’s a good chance even a “perfect” pitch might get hammered.
Some of the HR only stuff comes because of HOW everyone plays the game. Almost no one takes a contact swing…even some of the guys on YouTube who are top hitters teach in their videos to NEVER swing for contact.
Maybe if they rewarded contact swings a little more, we’d see players do it. But then there’s a balance issue. If the balance isn’t just right…then you’d eventually have guys swinging with contact every time and hitting .500.
Personally, I think this is where the issue is. Especially with 2 strikes and on certain pitches. There’s no real advantage gained by shortening up your swing with 2 strikes and a runner on 3rd and less than 2 outs.
Tbh…it actually feels like swinging Contact in this situation puts you at a disadvantage. Which seems backwards.
The community plays a role too. A large portion of it just doesn’t want something closer to real baseball. They like this version of HR Derby baseball the way it is. Singles are boring, bruh!
It’s not really a surprise though. Many of them aren’t even baseball fans and think just because you hit a pitch on the screws aka “Perfect Perfect” it should automatically be a hit (some even think it should be an automatic HR) because “skill”, bruh…
Until there is a better balance between the risk/reward involved with Normal and Contact swings…I’m not sure much would change.
But how do you get an entire community that is soooooo set in their ways to change while also not disrupting the balance in the game to a point where a really skilled hitter could use contact to slap singles and doubles all over the ballpark for 9 innings?

You started with number 1, but stopped there. I was hoping to read number 2, I'm sure it was going to be pure genius.

I know what you are saying, but just to clarify: tipping pitches in baseball refers to something else (usually a pitcher doing something different in his windeup and/or delivery for different pitch types). I feel like I got hammered recently by someone picking up where I was spotting the fastball (edges of the strike zone halfway up from the bottom). Well placed pitches hammered for HRs.

I downloaded that stadium to check out for offline grinding, it’s ridiculous, lol.
Should definitely not be allowed for online. -
The game is strange. Take my last two games last night for example. First one I faced Pedro and lost 4-0. I think I had 4 or 5 hits the entire game. The next game I face Yamamoto and won something like 14-6. I hit 8 bombs and my opponent his 6 solo shots.
