️- you can use set 1 cards in season one AND SEASON 2.For the record i'm not worried about them not being useable all year, i'm a offline player for the most part so thats not going to be a problem for me. It's the repetitive same player 4/5 times that worries me. It's true you can use set 1 cards until at least july so theres really no worry about not getting ro use cards or collect. Sorry if i seemed negative.

️The way I understood it is that you can use any set 1 card during set two , it isn’t until set 3 that set 1 retires. By the time set 3 releases , you’ll have a plethora of set two cards to make it less painful
Of the same players from set 1 so you won't miss them. Can't wait for Griffey #3 maybe this time he can be a event reward.
I get what you guys are saying and it’s definitely possible that this will peek way earlier. My guess is, a lot of people stopped playing early last year and this is SDS’ remedy. The reason people stopped playing (again an assumption) was not because there weren’t good cards early on but because last year the content was week. Every few weeks you’d completely run out of it and sit around and wait. This year, there’s plenty of content. I play a few hours a night and I still have not finished TA, the Mexico City program, 8 of the 9 Negro Leagues storylines and have hardly touched online.
As for the repetition of top players. I agree and don’t see a way around it. We already have 99s for a ton of the most popular cards (Trout, Trea, Babe, Chipper, Griffey, Ohtani, Pedro, Gehrig and many others) and it’s the first week of May. So that will be interesting to say the least. But as of now, this years game is to last years what Prime Rib is to raw hamburger meat.
I think good “content” really varies from person to person and a lot of the time it is based on if they play online or offline. For me a ton of cards or a ton of programs doesn’t necessarily make it good content. I agree there are more cards and programs than last year, but they are not really engaging to me. That is probably partly because I am enjoying playing online way more this year than in the past. It is hard to play online if you are constantly having to play conquests, showdowns, moments and mini seasons to complete programs. But even if you do complete the programs, some of them are just for “future collections”.
People always say SDS can’t win and I agree. It seems that they have really made offline players happy this year because they always have something to work on, but it really is making DD feel like a controlled offline mode to me. If you do care about collections this year, it does not feel at all a mode where you play with the guys you want to play with…which I thought was the design of DD.

All of them, because until you reach HoF/Legend it still doesn’t matter who you use, or in other words, any of the 99’s they have released within a month of launch.
Yep, very true. However, the one exception may be in regards to pitching. I like using high control pitchers like Lee, Maddux, Halladay, etc. but the PCI is too large on All-Star and below for them to be as effective as they are on HOF/Legend. You pretty much need to use Pitchers with outlier on AS and below, and hope your opponent cannot turn on a fastball.

So he can use the set 1 cards everyone told him to waste his stubs on after july 7th? Oh wait he can’t?, there’s only 3-4 core cards that can be used year round so its best he wastes his stubs on set 1 cards? I have read the set guidelines, thus why i refuse to waste over a month grinding for useless cards, in fact there is no point in grinding at all because they are going to give everyone 99’s every set and probably of the exact same cards you mindlessly grinded in the previous set. It’s hard to believe you are a functioning human being if you can’t see the simple logic trying to be explained here.
