At this point is it worth it to continue with the Set 1 collection?

If it matters to you...always look towards the Big Collections down the line. Having all 3 will probably help.

Unless you have a ton of stubs and plan on going for all 3 maybe wait until Friday for the additional free cards then get probably Pedro. The gap to the third one is probably a million or more. Still got all of season 2 for use and it’s not like top SPs are just falling from the sky. Or get babe if you want. But there will be more players that are equal to abbe than Pedro imo.
Also why lock in those pricey dudes instead of selling them and locking in cheaper ones?

I know I'll pick Babe, but the smart move is Pedro. Pitching is so underwhelming this year and LH mashers who are DH types are everywhere...

To my knowledge the set will not expire so yeah go ahead and get Babe... you will still be able to use him in other modes without having to use the Wild Card. Plus after Season 6/Set 6 which is the highest that the filters go up to, you will be able to use any card in the Final/Forever Ranked Season.

Others have already said it, but I feel like they'll be useful for the big collection at some point. So just depends on how important that is to you I guess.

I say go for the cards you want. Don't go for cards you don't want unless they lead you to cards you want and enjoy grinding the game.

You won't sell them but you won't lock them in? Sorry; but that doesn't make sense.
Also, Set 1 cards don't become 'useless' until July. So that gives you another 2 months to use them.

Set 1 is still valid for all of May, all of June and the first week of July so it isn't that soon.
