TA grind is unbearable

I play too much. I see where OP is coming from.Same here. While I am glad we have TA, the biggest thing holding me back from completing this program is the fact that these cards expire in a couple of months. I just mainly went after the few cards that appealed to me, and that was it.
Completing the PXP for some cards that I am not eager to use, and doing the Showdowns, is just not worth it to me. If they had higher attributes, and/or did not expire, then I would definately be investing more time in this.

You're sharing players with another human. So should you get pxp if your teammate hits 2 nukes with your guy and you strike out twice with him???
Pretty simple and pretty fair, I think.
I don’t think it’s simple and it’s definitely not fair. Just my opinion.
Simple and easy are two different things. And nobody said you have to finish at any particular point. You can get them all for free. How is it unfair? Explain.

Been done for weeks
Well, aren't you special!!
Amazing what you can accomplish with 210 hours invested over a mere 5 week time period.
Playing well in ranked, BR or events gives you more XP. That's some players have finished it already.
210 hours in 5 weeks is an average of 6 hours a day.
Not judging, just saying.
that is eye popping for sure - quite regularly, i leave my PSN on all day and in game - so out of curiosity - how do i really know my playable time in game? i see it shows me around 200 hours on the little window in the PS5 screen

For those who have played this game for a long time know there is a way to accomplish the TA grind without it becoming a slog. There is an efficient way to progress through the program. If you get tunnel vision and focus on one aspect of TA then it will be a miserable time consuming grind. Instead look for ways to knock out two birds with one stone. Build teams that accomplish multiple things at once. For example, build teams with players from a certain division and use that team in conquest, obviously use your henchmen in those builds to accomplish their tasks. If you do something like this you will find the program moving along a lot faster than you expect it.

Not that difficult... beat the 3 showdowns, 3 conquest maps, 30 moments, play the game with players that aren't listed as "free agents" and do the captain missions... I've completed both East Divisions and I am nearing completion on AL West with NL West sure to follow... Central are only divisions I haven't gotten around to getting a lot of their players in my lineup but hopefully once I do their Conquest and Showdown I'll know where I'm at... plus the program doesn't expire so you can still do TA1 while TA2 is out which might also mean that certain PXP and XP and stats and such stack... unless they specify that the players have to be from Set 2 in TA2 but I'm thinking it'll stick with the same model as TA1.
Hahaha I thought the first half of your post was definitely going to be sarcasm. I’m good though. I’d rather play ranked seasons and other modes that are actually fun with cards that I earned and want to use that’ll only be available for 60 more days. And I don’t dislike sets at all. I just made this post last night after seeing the insane amount of points required to earn mostly unusable cards in TA. I don’t derive satisfaction from collecting cards like others, I just want good cards to go head to head with.
People get a little too worked up around here don’t they?

Those cards should not be ignored. They will significantly cut down on the amount of cards needed to get the boss cards. But you do you.

It is more like "boss card". Since they all expire and you only get one WC. Boss cards should have been Core.

For some people, playing the modes they like (such as RS) is more enjoyable for them and they would rather spend their time that way. I am trying convert myself to that mindset rather than feeling like I need to have every card and complete every collection. I want to spend my time playing this game in the way that is enjoyable for myself. A person could spend a weekend afternoon or two flipping and have the stubs to buy Trout, Sasaki, Realmuto, Lindor and Murakami. I absolutely love Trea, Pedro, Chipper and Babe...but collecting all the cards needed for that may just not be worth it to everyone. Not to mention they are all Set 1 cards anyway, so it is not like the collection rewards are move valuable in that aspect.

I just finally finished yesterday. I tough part about it is that my online roster has so many free agent cards. Takes so long

This 100%. Play how you want to play. But understand that it all comes with a tradeoff. If you love playing RS with FA cards you won't progress in TA as much. If you love to grind MS, you will.
Choices.
Some people on here whine because they can't have everything while only doing some things.

Oh shut up dude you’re one of the most notorious whiners on this forum hahah. I’m allowed to say the TA grind is hard, get a life dork

Seems strange no programs have had any additional things added to them and TA could really use some. Even a reward for collecting the division or each team or something. No mission for the Charisma players, just a moment for 1000 xp. They have waaaaaay to many programs that are all the same. They should have less programs, more creativity, and more options to earn them how each person wants.
The egg program was at least fun for a few hours. Hidden missions from years passed just mixed things up as well. So vanilla these days. The Griffey Program is still the best ever IMO and most people didn’t even finish it. It was fun doing lots of little goals that earned big rewards and then huge rewards. Remember Pepe Alazar? It was dumb but they tried something fun and different.
Rookie to Prime/SS/Awards should have 100% made a return already. Put them in TA, don’t make it a requirement just make it available. Same with the collection, same with so many other things. Need more options in everything they put out.

This guy is a shill for the game. He acts like if he is the biggest fanboy possible that sds might let him be a mod.

Are there that many good FA cards? I assumed that all the collection cards work for those teams they're on. I know there's a few from WBC and some live series but are there others I'm not realizing?

Murakami and Sasaki are the main ones. Nothing that would really impact anyone from making huge progress in a program though.

Engaging in a little forum debate is trolling? Wow, you get triggered easily. If you're going to label a game that throws free 99's at you "unfair" for having to grind, then maybe be prepared to explain what you mean by "unfair." That's a word children use when they're whining. So...
Also, ease up on the rhetorical analysis, lol. How's this: Can you kindly explain what you mean by "unfair"? Do you feel less oppressed now? (I won't answer that one for you, but we both know the answer...)
