Can someone walk me through this? At least half the cards in Set 1 (if not more) say "Community Market." Where did everyone get these cards from? Where were they available?

The other ones (that aren't obviously gettable) suggest they're available in the card packs. I've opened hundreds of card packs (and Ballin' Is A Habit & Diamond Duos) and I've gotten maybe one, possibly two special cards. Are other people getting these cards?

And, in the past, you'd get some bonus valuable cards and sell them for stubs to buy others. But I've gotten two really valuable Live Cards -- Trout and Judge -- and I need them to complete the Live series. I've hardly gotten any double valuable live cards to sell.

Meanwhile, I've been grinding about 3-4 hours a day and am just not collecting massive amounts of stubs from doing it. After trying to complete the Live series, I'm still shy 4 teams, with dove 600,000 or so stubs needed to finish it off. I currently have about 20,000.

Any insights here would be helpful. But chief among them is where are people first getting cards that only list their location as "Community Market."

    Thanks for any helpful input!

Team Affinity gets you at least 60 cards, Topps Now is another 30 at the moment, there’s the “other programs” with 20-30 cards. Ranked Seasons, Events, Battle Royale, USA Conquest, etc.

Some of the cards that show up as only in the community market were once found in other special packs or programs that are no longer available. Such as the silver, gold, and diamond henchmen found in the first BR program or the Shohei Ohtani that was in the first Chase Pack.

As the others have mentioned there are programs where some cards are found (but those wouldn’t say they were available in the community market). Between Diamond Duos and other speciality packs, I would estimate there are about 12-15 new cards per week that hit the game from packs.

Grind through the TA program and all the other smaller programs and you will earn a lot of cards. Unfortunately, you won't be able to make a great deal of stubs from these programs as most did these programs shortly after release when market prices were still elevated. Any cards that were sold had increased value due to market inflation and the exchange value in the TA programs. Prices have since returned to normal so I suggest holding on to any cards you don't have to sell right now until the market spikes and you can make a good profit.

I've done what everyone's suggesting, but there seem to be a bunch of cards that simply say Community Market that were not in any program I'm available. Ones that come to mind are cards of Ozzie Smith, Max Scherzer, Mike Piazza, et. al. There's a lot. And I'm not counting the ones that say they're available in packs or Diamond Duos (of which there also seem to be a lot and which I never, ever seem to get, no matter how many packs I acquire).

As I mentioned above…there have been a ton of “speciality packs” this year. That is on top of Diamond Duos. For example there have been three “Around the World” packs, two “Welcome to the Show” packs, last week was a HR Derby pack and this week is an All Star Pack. Each of those packs has about eight cards. Once those packs are out of the shop, it will just say “community market”.

Of the specific ones you mentioned, Max and Ozzie were Diamond Duos and Piazza was from a preorder pack.

I’m trying to flip cards again since the margins seem to be getting better but as soon as I put a bid in, it’s immediately outbid. I’m ready for the flipping cards in the app while working days and making 100K-200K stubs.

    So basically, buy packs?

I'm in the same boat as the OP and I feel like spending real money or getting a ton of stubs is really the only way. And stubs are harder this year as the flip market is slower.

I would never suggest buying packs, but there are WAY more desirable cards coming from packs than previous years. Most pack cards are more desirable than awards from things like Events, RS and BR (although season 2 of BR was good).
