Free Agents 25 of 100. That actually means "Free Agents List 2, I have 5 of the 100 players listed here."
I'm trying to learn how to eventually get Roberto Clemente, and apparently you learn to play this Risk/Stratego-style game called conquest?

It may be because I've played the game for so many years but I honestly feel like they have one of the more streamlined UI.
I mean "Inventory", "Online Play", "Single Player", "Marketplace", "Programs", etc... all seem fairly straightforward and self explanatory IMO.
Menus are no issue but I know where the henchman missions are and still have to go in and out so many times to make sure I’m adding new players every few games. Whatever 2k calls that selectable missions menu would be amazing in this game because there’s gotta be 10x the amount of missions. Just being able to pause and check if it’s done and sub in a new guy, being able to switch your line up when your about to start a new conquest game, or even just a sub option in the lineup menu. The devs grind the game they gotta see these things.

My friend, welcome to the game (assuming this isn't a troll post).
This game is very simple to understand, and the UI is the best out there.
If you are honestly struggling to understand, there are plenty of youtube tutorials out there. But you seem like you're under the age of 50...you can handle this.

Nothing about this Diamond Dynasty makes sense. 3 inning games in BR? Whats the point of a bullpen then? Finding cards you have with the intention of selling them is painful. You have to go through every teams list of cards to find one you want to sell? Why is there not a "My Owned Cards" choice? Making uniforms requires an associate's degree in photoshop. I also don't see some in-game uniforms even available to unlock in the unlockable menus.

Friend if you’re not using your bullpen in BR that’s a problem lol

Maybe this particular game mode isn’t for you.

Hey bud. Welcome to THE SHOW. I understand the frustration, but thankfully there is a fairly vast community of YouTubers who will explain any and everything to you.

The Fifa Ultimate team menu unless they changed it this year is way worse.

Click “add to lineup” under them when you get them after a game. Put them on your bench. Then whenever you go to your lineup, you know who has to get plugged in. Once you figure that out, it goes really quick and smooth

All the henchmen missions are XP related and since there is no listing for how much XP is earned for every scenario due to all the variables involved in calculating XP, anything more than the percentage completed that is already provided would be difficult to calculate.
Stat missions are simple and easily tracked.

Watch a couple YouTube tutorials on conquest. I used to spin my wheels on it years ago until you learn the correct strategy. Basically put all of your fans in one hex that you move and attack with. Tip of the spear attack type thing. USA map in 24-26 turns every time, never playing a game above rookie. And if speed is your thing, winning 1-0 is faster than running up the score. Pxp and player mission players plugged in all lineup spots to maximize efficiency.

Not on PS4. That was broken halfway through last year and its never been fixed. Nor ever will, I imagine.

Yes, I'm aware. Which is why I stated "the percentage completed that is already provided".
I'm thinking the OP wants to be able to look mid game and see something that states "Player A needs 2 singles, 4 POs, and 1HR to achieve the XP required to complete mission"

Like all new things, you'll get used to it. The UI has its quirks and inefficiencies, but it's not nearly as bad as you make it out to be.
You can easily see what you have up for sale by going to the Marketplace tab and clicking on Active Orders. It would indeed be nice if there were a tag on a card that said, "You are trying to sell this for XYZ." Of even a $ icon.
Like others have said, there are plenty of YT videos out there. And there's a DD handbook in the game as well, though that might be less helpful.
At core, there's competitive play (RS, BR, Events), collecting (LS, Series 1, TA, Topps Now/MA), and single-player grind. Keep it simple.
If you're trying to do a Bucs theme team to play in Ranked, you'll find that it won't be very competitive. The game is puking up 99's right now and you'll be overmatched pretty quickly. That's the Show. It's a fantasy MLB Avengers/Justice League thing. BR an Events have lineup restrictions, but RS is a free-for-all.
Welcome, and good luck!

I've played The Show 21 and now got The Show 23. I've never played Diamond Dynasty on 21, but always wanted to assemble a Pirates legacy team that I can play online head-to-head with. Only way the Pirates can win lol.
But I have to say, this Diamond Dynasty has been absolutely dreadful to understand and play from a new user perspective. The tutorial was completely useless. The UI menu is very blocky and very hard to understand. I started out with some packs it seems, and ended up with two Yankees 81 overall players. So I want to sell because F the Yankees. I choose to list on marketplace, but it doesn't show what the competitive pricing is. I list for 1200 each. I find this "marketplace" that I eventually filter to find each listed for 466. So forget it, I say, I'll just do the quick sell at 400. Now where to find the cards. I find how to cancel the 'sale' to take them off marketplace. Now just to go to my roster and click on the cards right? Nope. Nowhere to be found on the bench and don't see anything for inactive player cards I have. Eventually find the two by going through marketplace filters and finding who it was I have. Like 10 extra steps it seems.
This UI just seems atrocious, and I haven't even played a game yet. Now I'm getting "network errors' on this Battle Royale option and I can't play anything anyway. Is this the experience of most so far? Or am I an idiot and this Diamond Dynasty really is nice to use if you know how it works? There are so many different menus and customization options in DD, it is just completely overwhelming. SOS
There's LITERALLY a section that says INVENTORY, this is not a UI or SDS problem... welcome to The Show though.

I get a sense this game isn't the only thing that confuses and frustrates...

Ah, Roberto Clemente... the worst of the worst when it comes to Moments...
