A) Home runs are not rampant this year like they were in past years so I've got no idea what ur taking about
B) I've had 99s across the board since like day 5 of the drop date of the game. Many people have. Again I've got no idea what ur taking about here. It's never been easier the The Show to acquire 99s -
I am not playing this years game, but they did adjust everything on 2020 version similar to what I am seeing/hearing, and my biggest problem is actually SDS AI being player of the game way too much recently. Pitches with good/perfect release going miles from where they are aimed, pitches with over half the ball in the strike zone called balls and hits that are right on the line being called foul because one pixel of the ball was in foul territory.
I haven't looked into OP's numbers, but as a weak hitter myself, everything that goes wrong seems amplified when you have a lead go away or get matched up with a guy 600 points above you in rank.

When I first started online I fell into that same trap. I don't know OP's online experience level, but perhaps that might explain it. Then someone similar to you explained it just like that and after a while it was clear they were right.
It's not 99s on the other teams that is the problem. You could give me the best 99s ever at every position and I would probably struggle to win.

You’re really putting the pressure on SDS…they might have to close the doors if you don’t spend $100 on stubs.

Freeze offs, too many homeruns, pitching inconsistencies. Co op not working properly.etc.
Also people getting 5 minute cool down periods for a game freezing.Sounds terrible so move on
Well some people tried to move on to co-op but then some Right handed pitchers have Left handed release points.....any suggestions there?

and I have 7 99 Hitters
and 3 99 PitchersSo I think if I spent 100 dollars on stubs I could definitely have a full lineup of 99 players and like half my pitchers

HRs against is always an SDS problem and a HR for is always skill! Players can't take the blame for giving up HRs!

God no, it's a waste of money as you get plenty of free stubs and cards as Is. I was just stating that 100$ could actually get someone a full team of 99's if they actually played the game some also.

Hey SDS please tone the home runs down cause it’s unbelievably ridiculous. 90% of the pitches in the zone get hit for home runs.. no matter what. If it’s in the zone 90% of the time it’s going to be a home run. I was using 97 lee smith and people online are very early on 100+mph pitches and they’re still hitting home runs. Every pitch way out of the zone is fouled off until you’re forced to pitch in the zone and it’s an automatic home run given even if it’s in the corner and the person is late on it.
I remember in older versions of mlb the show you could use all sorts of cards like golds and silvers and have some degree of success and you had to actually think to build out a team. Now 90% of the cards are unusable and every team is full of 99 players already. I used to use the daily matchup boosted players to build competitive teams and now I don’t even care for it cause all those players are unusable cause all you’re facing is 99 players.
If you try and use a low diamond or gold pitcher it’s automatic home runs if any pitch is in the zone no matter what and that’s just ridiculous. It’s not like I’m just throwing the pitch down the middle.
I’ve been playing this game for years and am not a bad player but this years game is beyond ridiculous with the home run rate. Of course I’m hitting my share of home runs but all this game is home run or contact out no matter how you pitch.
Is the excuse really everybody’s eye is otherworldly?? I say absolutely not. The game has been tuned to allowing way too many home runs and for contact to be made so easily that pitching is completely irrelevant at this point.
have unlocked jeter and chipper, NMS to, just have to grind

wishing I could give him back... I thought it was just me not pitching good with him... I got tricked into picking him and something told me not to especially since I had Devin Williams waiting for me in the Season 1 XP Path Reward Boss pack (although I was torn between picking him or Rickey Henderson)... I really wanted Lee Smith to work out for me... maybe I'll try him in some other modes before trotting him back out in Ranked.

I still can' t get over the walkoffs I gave up this weekend... definitely asked myself "why did I throw that pitch there as my opponent started his/her swing" then I shook my fist in the air and asked the SDS devs why they didn't nerf HRs in that very moment knowing full well that I was thoroughly enjoying the few dingers (and one inside-the-parker with Reynolds) tat I was able o get this weekend.. lol

I don't know about $100 because $100 = 150k stubs... 99 Alvarez (Future Stars) goes for over 100k last I check and was dropping no lower than 90k when I looked last night before jumping on Baty for (97 ovr) for 20k+ since he was less than the pack and I had just enough stubs to snatch him up... now my grind continues as I try to build my stub bank to atleast 50k for a Future Stars "Welcome To My Show" pack in hopes that I get the Rare Round for Alvarez.
Judging by the number of packs some of these guys opened during early access I'd say more than $100 was spent given that a lot of guys had more than 150 Show Packs and 2 Chase Packs.
I get the sentiment but definitely more than $100, trust I know from past experience dumping money into this game to try to create content... this year I'm taking a more conservative approach leaning more towards grinding more and purchasing less.
