Quick Display Player Card during At Bat
-
If this is posted in the incorrect place, I'll happily delete and repost.
In MLB 21 and 22, pressing R2 (Xbox) during an at bat would display your batter's player card and stat line. If you were pitching, this would display the batter's card. Now, you have to press right on the Dpad, and it pauses to show the card and perks. But no stats.
In MLB 23, this feature seems wholly absent. I obviously don't R2 during Online Games, but I like being able to check my progress and stats on batters when grinding the CPU. I don't want to press pause, open up the player, then look up their stats in the middle on an at bat when one controller input worked before.
Have I gone crazy? Or is this feature missing?

I was looking for an answer to this and haven't found it. Looks like they removed it?

Removed. Only way you can see the player card is by pausing the game, hitting Triangle (PS) to bring up the pitcher's card and then hitting R2 to switch from the pitcher to the batted.
-
This was removed for some reason. Some scoreboards will say the at-bat stats for the current game.
-
There is an option in setting to toggle between Batter or Pitcher info when pressing R2, but no matter which one you select it only gives details about the pitches.
-
Christ, it would be nice if they changed that back. Especially as a pitcher, when you don't want to completely interrupt a PvP game to see which version of Jeter is at bat.

I thought it was right on the d-pad now.
That is correct! Also, I like how they now show all the quirks for both pitcher and batter!

But that outright pauses the game, and doesn't show the player's slash line. While the perks are nice, everything else feels like a step backwards.
