Team Pitching in RTTS is so good... too good
-
I am a center fielder for the Nationals and my team pitching has been incredible. Usually not a bad thing but I am starting to think it is a glitch. My center fielder has over 100 more put outs than the next closest guy and I have pitchers with 57 overall posting sub 1 ERAs. Every starter also has incredible stats. Wondering if anyone else is running into something similar.

I wish that was the case. I don't know the era of the Springfield Cardinals pitching staff but it is not sub 1. The team is pretty awful and last I looked were bring up the rear in the standings.
-
Well the team ERA is like 2.60-2.70 or something like that, which isn't unrealistic.... but for the Nationals it just might be lol

I’m in my 3rd season now and the Nats have been no better than 28th in pitching based on overall. However they have been in the top 5 in ERA every one of those years. Finished 1st in one and on the way to doing it again. There is no way this isn’t some weird glitch.

Two things:

Check on what your "GM" is doing. I went Red Sox SP/1B, and I'd say the only "notables" from the main squad left are Dalbec and Devers. Verdugo, Story, Hernandez, heck Casas and Bello from the minors all all gone, mostly via trade, and Sale demoted or banished, etc.
The collection of "other castaways" is rocking in the Fens now, Mancini in LF??? -
The game is definitely "biased" to make things "fun" and "fanciful" for the "live" player. Down 3 in the 8th? Gonna find a lot of bases loaded situations for you to "be the hero" via bases clearing double or Grand Slam. Follow that up with an AB in the 10th. And you provide the rest of your team with boosts to their stats, which can make them perform better as well (so you can get that playoff experience).

No I know, I have just never noticed it being like this in previous games. I do not mind having a bad team, that's what makes it so much fun when you finally break through and have a great team. Basically just having players play well simply because they are on your team is a little boring but it does feel dumb to complain about it.

I turned the CPU hitting sliders up a bit and that has seemed to make games a little more high scoring. Most of my games were very low scoring and my teammates were horrible when I was on base. Most of my teammates were hitting .250 or lower before. Now it feels a little more realistic.
