I know there's an army of Pinpoint Haters out there, and I'm sure they'll invade this thread, but whatever...
Worried again what other people think huh.

For those who don't know -- on perfect input the ball is landing ONLY on the edge of the par, never anywhere on the inside. That's clearly a bug.
I'm thinking about switching to analog, or perhaps just using pitchers with really good control until it's fixed.
What is that particular pitchers control numbers? As with any other pitching mode, if the pitcher has poor control, you shouldn't be able to pinpoint anything!

Theoretically, yes. But that's simply not the way the mechanic is designed. It's bugged.
Soto, for example, has huge pars because he has poor control. But that doesn't mean that on perfect input the ball NEVER lands on the inside of the par.

You should try metered pitching. Perfect input is moot and meaningless. Sometimes, you might get lucky and hit a few spots.

No thanks. At least not for competitive. The RNG mechanic built in to pinpoint is the par size, based on individual pitch control. Unless your pitcher has nearly perfect control, there's plenty of randomness -- in theory. I know people claim that perfect input is OP, and they might be right. I wouldn't mind if SDS nerfed the dot% on perfect inputs -- I just want the mechanic to work correctly.

Oh pinpoint not being able to super dot is so bad. I for one enjoy it’s not like that anymore. Guess what IRL they miss spots, so now it’s happening in the game and people are crying.

Has calling out an SDS employee in the heading of a thread ever actually gotten a response from that person.
I certainly can't remember it ever working

It's tongue in cheek. Lots of people know CBrev from his YT videos. He's the best content creator out there by a mile for those of us who don't go for the over the top screaming and yelling nonsense.

Hating on people who use pinpoint is like being offered a faster car for free, and denying it because it drives differently, and then complaining that people who drive that faster car are faster than you

I started watching his videos during The Show 19. There wasn’t as many different players, so he would review most of them. Since we seemed to like the same cards (for the most part) I valued his opinion. Though I was, and continue to be, nowhere in his league as a player.
I think that MLBTS19 was a good game. They changed Frank Thomas’ swing or something after that year because he never played the same. I also miss the fact that guys like Ichiro and Gwynn were in many people’s outfield. It wasn’t all about the long ball. Sorry, I kind of switched directions; but, yes, CBrev’s YT was one of the better. There are two things I have in common with him: we both liked watching Rickey Henderson play, and we both have the same favorite baseball movie. -

I couldn't figure out why my pitching was so erratic this year, but this is definitely why... thanks for pointing it out.
Would really love to see it fixed before I make my World Series push.

Not to be a stickler on the particulars but not all perfect perfects are the same especially when considering their control and accuracy ratings which have been incorporated more this year than in years past. You can get a perfect draw and release and it not actually be perfect. The timing of the draw directly affects the release this year so if the draw isn’t say 100 percent accurate then even if your release timing is .00 then it won’t be perfect in the par. Same goes with the release. If your draw is perfect 100 percent and the release is say .03 early or late the ball may land on the edges of the par or even just off of it based on input. There is however a pinpoint bug out there where the ball will float to the wrong area of the strike zone or even behind the batter on perfect inputs. This has been identified by SDS and they are working to fix the issue.
