I was decent enough to earn 99 Trout last year no problem. So I feel comfortable in saying that I’m probably better then most people…
It's way easier to complete the BR program that you are giving yourself credit for. Completing the BR program gives no one any idea of your skill level at all
Then why couldn’t most people earn him? Way to many fan boys circle jerking on these forums and it’s always the same trolls gate keeping on how the game is played, skill, etc
How many years have you been playing? It is significantly easier to earn flawless players since they implemented the BR program. Before the program was a thing those players prices would be almost 1 million stubs. Now you can get them for 100k.

I’m not getting rewarded for my good hits which is even more frustrating. The average or casual player won’t see it as rewarding they will see it as something that’s not worth their time. Trust me this game will be in trouble without changes.
Have you played real baseball? It's not supposed to be easy.

I would rank online accomplishments like this at this point from hardest to easiest
Top 50
Flawless
World Series
21-22 Ranked Program
Events
23 Ranked Program

When I first started playing it 5 days ago I felt the same way, I usually use strike zone high or 2 or 3. Switched to Strike Zone and it made a huge difference . I still strike out more than I had and also have a lot of swings that I thought were good swings end up as poorly hit balls but after switching the hittng cam and basing my PCI placement more on the pitcher's repertoire, I have begun to hit better

This game needs a serious readjustment to the hitting mechanics it is way too difficult now. As someone who grinded all year and got every card minus Mantle this scale of difficulty will not bold well for more casual players and has taken away from the enjoyment of the game. The content and changes to the defense stats actually meaning something have been great.
Batting Practice is pretty underrated. Try it out before you get into some games and see how it works out, man.

And yet here you are saying hitting is too hard while myself ( a 46 year old man with bad eyes adjusting to progressive lenses as we speak) is online booty clapping people

Are you referring to online H2H or vs CPU?
There is a big difference in hitting in online RS H2H vs CPU content (ie Moments, Showdown, Conquest, etc.). SDS likes to tinker with the Sliders in vs CPU modes in order to make that content more challenging (or frustrating) to grind.

Minus the reduction in homers, I love the new hitting structure.
-
I love the new card collecting format. I happy with the hitting. I think it’s the best version of the game since ‘17. It’s still early but so far so good.
-
Why do you think SDS released all these high diamonds? It’s to hide that hitting isn’t fixed.

What’s wrong with the hitting? There’s far less late hits. As it should be -

I think the high diamonds is to make the trash hitters feel better about themselves. The people who were saved by PCI RNG last year actually need to get good this year. Releasing high 90s earlier will help you adjust to needing actual skill to get a hit this year.
I can imagine how negative these forums would be if scrubs had to learn how to hit with bronze and silver.

While I like the more rewarding hitting when playing against other players, it's making the moments take longer to complete. I can hit the ball for singles or sac flies but when you have to hit multiple extra-base hits it gets frustrating. I didn't have this much of a problem last year. Might just give up on moments this year and stick with mini-seasons.
-
How do you get "every" card except Mantle... if you get "every" card shouldn't you be able to get Mantle's collection completed because in theory you should have all the vouchers and any players needed to complete his set... if you got "every" card in the game except his???
-
The hitting, whatever your opinion on too easy/hard, is drastically jacked up in this version. Because the freakin' reticle doesn't respond over 50% of the time. Takes all the batter-control completely out of the game. It's always been a thing in this game, but it's as bad as I've ever experienced right now.

The game is way more realistic this year and people that are not good are mad because their miles off the pci very late swings no longer get rewarded. End of story.
They will be..come June, let’s not kid ourselves here, this is pretty much the same hitting tuner setting as August ‘22. Hitting will never be realistic because they refuse to revert back to 99-100 being the highest value for attributes.
-
Contact swing exploiters cringe at the new hitting. No more fluke hits for the most part, I’m glad the true sweats will be weaved out.

Don't give up on Moments. It's got huge returns on time investment. Just go into it like you're betting 1-10 on a roulette wheel. 3 or 4 spins and you will hit a number between 1 and 10.
So goes MLB the Show outcomes..Eventually, and it won't take long, the AI will just flip and let you cakewalk through.
