Is it as important to complete the LS as it used to be?
-
There are so many other series now, so many other great cards to get.....in the past I always worked towards the whole live collection as soon as I could but now there is so much incentive to use theme teams more than just the best LS cards.....
-
Depends on your definition of important. I think being healthy and happy is important, for reference. I think it will surely be useful down the line when they release the big collections.
-
Live Series cards get Supercharged to 99 this year and there is also Insiders Edge... not to mention the captains that are available... long story short if there is a Live Series Captain Card and/or you want Jeter, Sosa and/or McGwire you might want to get to collecting... I'll collect as I go like I usually do and then if I see I'm close to completing a collection I'll hit the marketplace to see what I'm missing and if I have enough stubs to get the collection done.
-
Are Jeter, Sosa and McGwire cards you want to use all year? They have the added benefit of being Core cards which means that will be able to be used in any season.
The high end cards were are getting now have a limited lifespan of usefulness since they will no longer be eligible for ranked and most season 3 and beyond content. So after July 7th all these juiced set 1 cards will be limited.
-
Other than being used for collections, I’m not sure it’s worth it to invest a million plus stubs in right now. If you want to scratch the itch of playing with Jeter, Sosa and McGuire, they can be drafted and used in BR. I’m really on the fence about this as I’ve done all live series collections since I’ve started playing DD years ago. What’s everyone else’s thoughts?

Are you also this judgmental in front of the classroom? If so, I bet you're not very popular amongst your kids.

My students aren't as pretentious as you. When someone asks a question, they answer without making themselves the main character.
But, yes, I call out [censored] like I should. And sorry, I'm regularly nominated for teacher of the year.
Stop being a douche.

I just find it intriguing that you can do a complete character assessment online about someone you know nothing about. That says a lot about you. I'm sure you don't conduct yourself the same way in real life like you do online, like many of us, but if you do I surely wouldn't want my kid to be educated by someone with your attitude. I'm not going to lower myself to your level of name calling either, pretentious of me is it not?

But he’s teacher of the year every year, but he didn’t say that to turn himself into the main character.

Because he somehow teaches in a high school with no pretentious students (find that hard to believe) so he has to come on to the show forums and teach all the pretentious people on here, all while making sure we know he’s nominated annually for teacher of the year.

Sigh. Said in response to his pseudo-accusation. Not out of the blue, as in, "I think being healthy and happy are important, for reference."
And no, not every year. NOMINATED every year.
And "for reference," I merely called his reply pretentious. Which it was. The ad hominem attacks started on his end.
You two enjoy each other!

You’re nominated for teacher of the year in a stagnant if not declining education system, not exactly sure that’s something to brag about on the internet, but you do you.

My guy it's been clear since I replied to your thread where you pointed out that you're NOT COMPLAINING (and I merely said it's totally okay if you do - basically picking your side) that you hold some weird grudge against me for whatever reason. And that's fine, whatever. But to come in here and call me pretentious, get off your high fckn horse pardon my French.
