Hot takes for the upcoming season?

I'll start. I think there is too much hype surrounding the Mariners. I think they struggle to finish at .500, and Julio has a huge sophomore slump.

Both Cleveland and STL win their divisions with less than 90 wins and the new schedule proves just how bad the Central divisions are.(mildly hot take)
Arizona makes the playoffs and one of ATL, NYM, PHI, SD doesn't(scorching hot take)

The team with the best 2 players in baseball will still be bad and Shohei will be dealt.
After all that spending, the Mets will finish 3rd in the division.
Pitching depth and defense will lead the Cubs to a wild card spot. Wesneski, Assad, and Mervis will have breakout seasons for them.

The Jays come storming out of the gate have 60 wins by the all star game and finish in first just ahead of the Yankees, the Rays come in 4th behind the Jays, Yankees and a up and coming Orioles team, the Red Sox finish a distant 5th.

Minus Altuve the Astros suffer a complete collapse and finish in 3rd behind the Mariners and Angels, the Angels sign Ohtani to a mega contract and he never hits the free agent market. Lol

Haha hey buddy, glad to hear form you again. Hope you enjoy this years game. With that said, I think your right. I don't see how the astros will survive the next 7 weeks woth only yordan, bregman, tucker, pena, and abreu. Lord knows our pitching is trash.

Judge is going to fall off a cliff this year. The league will start testing for roids again, he won't get juiced baseballs, and he will give up once the yankees are 22-44.
His contract will be worse than pujols.

I think The Mets will compete for their division even with the loss of Diaz. If any other team had the Mets roster people wouldn’t be doubting them, it’s just because of how many times they have embarrassed themselves in the past.
Hot Take: if Brett Baty gets a chance to be the starting third basemen then he has every shot at winning Rookie of the Year.Yes I’m a Mets fan, yes I might be delusional

ATL and PHI tend to choke less. The Mets have the talent, but they are still the Mets and they are still in a very tough division. Hope they are good though, baseball is better when both NY teams are.

I think ur gonna see with the pitch clock and no shift thet his average will be over .300 and still will hit 40+ HRs if healthy. Haha love the roids testing line tho as if the dude who is 6’8 260 hasn’t been tested. Weird that the mlb has stopped testing tho, don’t let tatis know that.
