Storylines — HUGE w! And any interest in a meetup in KC?
-
I’ve been clamoring for Negro Leagues players for the last few years. Storylines has absolutely been worth the wait. Fans of baseball history are going to LOVE this mode! I really hope they continue to add new content throughout the year, because I might very well burn through all of these moments in the first weekend. I love Conquest and TA, but I haven’t even touched them yet. All these videos and bits of historical trivia are keeping me too busy.
On a side note, I went to the Negro Leagues HOF in 2021, and it was a blast. Seeing all these videos that were filmed there reeeeally makes me want to go back soon. I wonder if we could try to coordinate a forum members meetup in KC this summer? We could catch a royals game, go to the NL museum, and stalk Paul Rudd. The royals hall of fame is really cool too. All the George Brett memorabilia you could imagine.
I am probably taking a baseball-themed weekend trip in July (I had been deciding between Pittsburgh, phoenix, or Atlanta, but KC would be awesome too!). If anyone has any interest at all, feel free to throw out some ideas or dates here. If you haven’t been to the NL museum, I can’t recommend it enough. It’s right next door to a jazz museum too, and KC in general was a really fun city. I think this could be really fun!!

Couldn’t agree more! So much added content and complexity to a game we already love, just amazing!

Love the names of Satchel's pitches and that they incorporated those names into the game!

Excellent!! I will hunt down a Royals schedule and see when they are in town. I think July is probably the best month for me, or maybe a couple weekends in late June.

I hope next year they will add the Seattle Steelheads to the storylines and we can get their uniforms.

I'm hoping they do more with this with other storylines throughout baseball history. It such a fun and informative mode.

Do you earn rewards along the way in storylines or how does it work?

Couldn’t agree more man…I decided to start with Storylines this morning and haven’t stopped since. I’m down to two players before it’s completed. I love everything about this mode…The history being taught and the absolutely stunning ballparks. Gorgeous uniforms, and fresh new players instead of the yearly retreads. HUGE props to SDS for this.
