OK... judging from the tone of the forum this last month, I know many of you are not super-excited for 2023... but I am. Two weeks left. Back to the grind. Back to flipping cards. Figuring out what "Captains" do. Seeing if I can actually hit vs. fouling off 23 pitches every AB. Attempting to use the new Button Accuracy, or determine if I'm just too old and slow and have to go back to "Button". Getting excited about every diamond pull and praying it's LS Trout (or maybe someone else this year). Seeing if any of my beloved Pirates can actually make it to a diamond (I'll settle for gold). Checking out the changes to mini-seasons. Watching people lose their minds when they collect the same non-sellable TA card twice (shout out to @SaveFarris_PSN and @Ericulous1_PSN )
Anyway... I'm ready.

I’m ready. I’m bummed I’ll only get in 2 of the 4 early release days because I have to be in San Diego on the 28th. I’ll have my switch with me, though, to play on the ride home. I will be on at 9 pm on the 23rd to soak up all the baseball I can get before we leave.

Definitely looking forward to this year. I bet it’ll be much more fun than 22 which was fun but a step back from 21.

If it's anything like the tech test the gameplay should be a lot better and way more immersive. I'm all set to go on the 24th or whenever early access is.

I’m all set for the 23rd at 9pm to begin the online rated grind with home whites and road grays. I’m expecting a lot of games vs Braves, Phillies and Yankees this year

Yep this joke of a company can't and won't give that mode selectable uniform options. They behind their cash crop DD makes no sense.

Just recently I've started getting excited again. Maybe it's because baseball has started again. I know there are some questions about this new one and things I'm not sure on yet (captains, sets/series/seasons) but its cool to have Negro League storylines and I love they added the World Baseball Classic. I might not even make my own uniform this year if I can rock the full USA. I wish the game was out now since the WBC is going on. I haven't played The Show in more than a month as I waited. That might be the longest I've gone without playing in 4-5 years (could be a sign of how content tailed off at the end of last year, too).

I lucked out this year. My boss told me and one of the other supervisors in my building about 2 weeks ago that we each had an extra vacation week that we had to take before May 1st. I chose launch week so on the 25th at noon, my 10 day vacation starts.

Funny, that's me too right now. I played 21 right up until the release of 22. I haven't played 22 since before the Tech Test.

There are 2 big differences for me in 21 and 22.
21-has Team Affinity and loads of content and it was my first season so naturally it was fun.
22- I didn’t need to collect Alomar. Just kidding. I swear that is the last time I’ll make the Alomar joke.
In all honesty, 22 content wise has some solid advantages - Extreme was fun, Monthly programs were more involved and enjoyable (IMO). Mini Seasons is the start of something great, can’t wait to see what they’ve added.
But I still give the nod to 21.

This morning, my wife, who I love very much, said "I'm heading to visit my girlfriend in Denver. Can you give me a ride to the airport?"
I said, "Sure. When do I drop you off and when do I pick you up?"

I get that it took longer and felt like a grind. But the main thing I enjoy doing is building a roster, trying new cards and playing actual games, doing missions with those players. It’s why I love TA and why I enjoyed the monthly programs more this year.
I agree they should have made the hitter XP grind easier.

I'm excited for 23'. I get it the people that cry about RTTS and wanting it to be something more, they are offline folks, i get it. I used to be offline all the time but i thought in the end it was pointless. For me RTTS is a means to an end. I want to get done quick to use my CAP in DD. I'm excited about Story lines, as my CAP has been Josh Gibson and my team name "Barnstormers" i'm all in on the negro leagues, so that's cool. The Sets and Seasons looks interesting, a new rinkle to keep things fresh. I like all the changes and can't wait for the 24th!
