Wind is a natural thing and part of everyday baseball. People complaining about wind the reason they lose or can't get pass a DD Program. What's next the bat is to long or to short? Guys will never quit crying about why they loss a game instead of blaming themselves they wanna blame everyone else.
Wind direction is cruical to how pitcher do their work. Depending on the wind strength, the difficulty of pitching increases. For example, if they throw a pitch, say a normally 90 mph fastball, into a front wind of 10 mph that would slow it down to 88 to 89 on the ground speed level.
Wind is the most important factor to a baseball game. The wind impacts the pitcher and the batter in both positive and negative ways. It can also make the outfielder's job harder. For the pitcher, if the wind is going toward home plate the ball will travel slightly faster.

Telling people playing competitively online that "wind is the most important factor to a baseball game" is suicidally stupid.
Whether YOU like it or not, this is a baseball VIDEO GAME whose COMPETITIVE ASPECT promises that STICK SKILLS REIGN SUPREME. We all know that's not entirely true, but any rng elements that fail to reward skill should be removed from competitive play in DD.
It's baseball. But it's a video game, not real life. It's not really that difficult to understand. Go play OOTP if you want a true sim experience that places wind on its appropriate pedestal.

Those 2 comments are ridiculous and what's wrong with online today that kind of thinking. Regardless where you play the game we all pay the same price it shouldn't matter where I play the game all the settings/options should be a CHOICE.

I was referring to competitive online. I don't know if wind has been disabled in, say, franchise, RTTS, Miniseasons, Conquest, etc. If so, I understand the OP. If he thinks wind should exist in competitive modes, no [censored] way. And it will never happen.
