Honestly not minding the way the game is playing right now as far as hitting and pitching goes. The more I play it, the more I’m feeling comfortable with it.

I’m absolutely getting better. Feels good to have the work you put in start to show results.

I beat Showdown the last two times I tried, after failing the first 12 or so, including pre 1st patch when hitting was easier, so I've gotten better. Still suck, but I'm better.

Happy to hear, I'm also liking how the game is playing. Not perfect, but honestly I don't want them to touch hitting in fear of them breaking it. Outside of the good/ok epidemic, hitting is pretty close to great.

Fielding is what they need to be focused on.

Scared about the same thing with hitting. Lol

I also wouldn't mind pitch accuracy being ticked up another notch or two, but I just started using analogue this year, so most of the time, my mistakes are definitely on me.

I use pulse, so mistakes are just going to happen because I don't use analog, that is on me.

I'm lazy, I just switched to the throwing meter this year, probably will start using analog next year.

Bro let me tell you, it was a tough adjustment period, for sure. But you're gonna kick yourself whenever you decide to make the switch and get used to it. I tried to go back to meter pitching and I couldn't tolerate a full inning. Lol.

No point in me trying to get better when I get game winning hits gifted to me.

Glad to hear it. I really wish more people had this mentality and took it as a challenge to get better. There’s a lot of ways to improve. Not all of us are going to be able to be super computers like rebel, mcgunski, mcguigan, Kyle, etc., but we can find an approach that will maximize what we can do, and practice recognizing pitches and tendencies of our opponents much earlier.

Nash(his forum username is @frizbgirl22 ) posted on another thread (he’s one of the best players I’ve played against, and I’ve played all of the super freaks over the years) and he talked about not being able to hit inside fastballs, so he modified his approach to crush everything else. He has a huge hole, but he’s still elite because he doesn’t miss the other pitches.

That guy has yet still not answered a simple question I had for him about hitting. If he thinks they shouldn’t touch hitting because “they might break it”....he’s already in denial about the current state of hitting.

Yeah hitting is in a pretty balanced spot outside of some Good/Okay feedback on squared up balls. I can't ignore that this does go both ways though, there are plenty of instances where I've gotten poor timing swings to land in for hits or gotten poorly hit Good/Okays to leave the yard.

You say hitting is pretty balanced but then talk about “plenty” of bad hits getting rewarded?

outside of fielding (though I personally not experienced issues with it), the game is playing fine. They have implemented a skill gap at the higher levels which is what people wanted, this game takes some adjusting every year. For me I had to adjust how I pitch, it seems very sensitive this year and after the latest patch actually feels like my input matters. I was overthrowing every pitch and was seeing a lot of hangers on good/perfect releases, since the patch and the adjustments I have made I can't remember the last time I threw a hanging pitch, do I still give up hits and home runs? of course, but its because my opponent put a good swing on the ball and guessed the right pitch and location.

I think people need to keep things in perspective as well, fielding issues might not be fixed yet because they can't get back to their offices or studios.

That's all I used to use. Was pretty good with it too, but I ended up giving in and listening to some people. Meter was to crazy for me, if I missed, even a little(which I did all the time lol)

Yeah plenty meaning I have a large sample size, not plenty meaning they outweigh or overpower any other aspect of hitting.

Babe Ruth was a home run hitter. Babe Ruth bunted several times. Are either of those statements wrong? Now does that mean Babe Ruth was a notorious speedster who laid down bunts all the time?

don't even entertain that mouth breather, the fact that he is capable of putting on pants is a miracle, its highly unlikely he will understand.

You know what, I also made the switch from pulse this year. At launch, there was no hope of hitting your spots with pulse.

I’m still pitching analog, but I’ve gone back here and there and found I can get guys out pretty consistently with pulse, since the last patch.
