I don't understand why the pitching had to be changed. MLB the show 21 pinpoint pitching was phenomenal. A player such as myself who is not an elite hitter could fight with better players by being a good pitcher, now pinpoint is no more reliable than analog of MLB the show 18. Why not allow someone to use their strengths? If somebody is a good pitcher, let the ball go where it's supposed to. I know it can be done because MLB the show 21 the ball went exactly wherever you wanted to now it's like rolling dice. I'm a lifetime fan but if you can change the PCI due to a video made by mcgunski, which by the way I still haven't recovered from I have not hit as well since, why can't you go back and allow pinpoint to be what it once was . Thank you very much also I guess this is a PS why in the world with the game play better on Xbox? Whatever the problem is with PS users would you please not make me have to buy an Xbox to play my game I'm sure we can fix whatever it is can't we?

Maybe its because IRL even the best pitchers aren't perfect? The best hitters aren't perfect, yet we want a "perfect" video game. Baseball is a game of inches, milimeters, bang-bang plays, mis-judged fly ball, good/bad management decisions, etc. It is not perfect, it is random and that is what I love about it. If the game was perfect it would be Super Mario world and no one would be throwing their controllers down and cussing, lol.

It's understandable but the ball not even coming close to the par region is crazy....it's like sometimes it just defaults down the middle. I'm fine if it stays inside the region, just don't understand the total opposite s sometimes

The thing about pinpoint pitching is very much based around the pitcher’s control attributes. The higher the value the more forgiving pinpoint will be. But don’t forget its not just about the motion of the stick but also the release point and the speed at which you flick the stick for release.

I’m not sure what kind of results you’re getting unless you’re able to post some video but I play on legend difficulty for pitching and I haven’t had any glaring issues with accuracy where the pitch location has been way off base compared to the control input.

If you’re able to record some examples post them up and lets see what you’re getting.

I use analog also, but sometimes I think it's a little bit too accurate and not so much ratings based. But I don't like all the Stick manipulation you have to do for pinpoint

I was wondering if pinpoint is worth learning. But from this post it seems like it is no better than analog. And I'm cool with that because I like analog and don't want to learn pinpoint. And to op, if pitching was perfect it would be very difficult to hit in this game. And that aint no fun.

I did spend quite a bit of time working on pinpoint, but I didn't like the mechanic. If the whole object is to put the ball where you want it and you can achieve that with analog, there's no point in messing around with pinpoint in my opinion.

My goal this past season was to learn it because I was in an online league. I forced myself to learn it and really found you have better aim than with analog as long as you do it right. The big thing was trying to learn it. The best help is the various YouTube videos and not in the game. The game doesn't really explain it at all. I'm not great at it, but at least I can do it. I've seen some guys who really can pinpoint their pitches. It takes some practice to nail it down as good as they do. I did find my competition level rose with pinpoint, if that says anything.

I've never been able to figure out pinpoint. First thing I'll do when I get the game is switch my default to meter and then forget that pinpoint exists.
