I have been dropped from games four times today. And, since I'm trying to do the new BR, it's very frustrating. This has been going on for six months but has gotten worse over the last few weeks.

I've done everything I can think of to solve the problem, and I'm beginning to wonder if my PS5 network card has gone bad.

    The steps I've taken:

    • Assigned static IP addresses to both wired and wifi MAC addresses.
    • Port forwarded the appropriate ports in TCP and UDP (wired IP address)
    • Replaced my Xfinity XB7 modem with a new XB7
    • Manually updated my system software (even though it's the same version number)

I'm ready to buy an Xbox to get rid of the problem (and then know for sure if it's my PS5). S series consoles are everywhere, and I can order an X series for retail.

Does anyone have any other ideas before taking such a drastic step?

Had same issue with my PS. I tried many of the things you listed but still had issues. I ended up getting a new LAN cable and that has been working for me. Good luck. I know it’s frustrating

The day after I did the port forwarding, the disconnections stopped. I am pretty sure my previous router was going bad, and that was part of the problem, but the port forwarding made the difference.

When I spoke with Xfinity about it, they said I had to give their system time to buffer. That's probably why it took a day.

Mine goes straight into my router and until I got it replaced and the port forwarding in place, it was a nightmare for me.
