Fake swing when I press normal swing

No swing when press x what’s going on? I thought that he was my controller but I switch to another one and I still have the same problem. I guess it’s another glitch🤬

I had this happen a fair amount when I was playing MLB 20, but I don't think I've seen it in 22

Are you PRESSING X or just tapping it?
Sometime if you don't press the button hard enough; it will register as a check swing.

When you check swing the bat actually moves. In the situation that the op is describing, the bat doesn't move at all, so it's not a check swing

I have the opposite, I barely tap it because I decided to swing but then not , but he takes a full swing anyway . Not even a half swing.

Lithe bat move but won’t swing thru ,is not like is happening all the time but when it does it really bothers me 🤬
