Last I saw it was just a formal offer, Yankees don't want to go 7 years on Rodon. If he doesn't perform well in NY that would be an albatross of a contract.

Guess its true. Good for him. I guess he ditched the per year request, and just went for the big long term deal. I think he will be a solid player for at least 6-7 more years. Back end of that, eehh. But it isnt like they will owe him 40 mil per. So not an awful contract.
