This game is disgusting in regards to directional hitting and/or timing. I’m in practice as we speak just having a pitcher throw high inside corner fast balls and still “can’t” time it correctly. I’m using Ohtani and still can’t put a ball in play. That’s disgusting. There are still players that do not like using Zone hitting and obviously this game does no honor that.

I am probably one of the worst hitters on the show, and I tried directional for a while. I found it slightly improved my contact hitting, but there are several "holes" in it and high inside is the biggest one of them. Even though I still am a bad hitter I am somewhat better on using the PCI.

The left stick is your friend. I have 0 issues using Directional Hitting and have won 21 straight games in a custom league vs other human opponents. We play on all star but with Stat based sliders.

Alvarez 27 HRS in 50 games
    Bregman 26
    Tucker 23

So you know we play every game using real life lineups and the starter who pitched on that date we follow the real life 2022 schedule.

I can teach anyone to get better at this game as I teach my league owners how to become better hitters, pitchers and fielders.

Fastballs up and in are the hardest ones to hit. You can either keep practicing it, or make peace with it and decide those are the ones you're just going to let go.

Watch the hitters front foot. Time your swing to when the heel goes down after he steps forward. It takes practice, but it’s helped me.
