It’s comfort. I run into a lot of Griffey Jr leading off teams. I personally run Rollins Brett Mantle Trout at the top. I’m most comfortable with them.
I don't know. I find that if a card goes cold on me in the top of the lineup, I'll move him down, and he'll do better. If I have Buxton 6-9, he doesn't do as well as 1-3. He does best for me as leadoff. I've also found that if I've had a card on the bench for a while and then stick it in the lineup, it becomes hot. It may be just coincidence, but I've noticed patterns like this.
@KnightkapJones_PSN I'm going to try Brett in the three spot (I have Pujols there now) and see if there is a difference.
@dbrooks1869_PSN I will try the seven hole instead of the bench next time, thanks for the tip.
@bimblekay_PSN I will move Mauer up to fifth and see if there is a difference. Thank you!
@AlexTheGreater7_XBL I don't have Cutch yet, but when I do, I give that a shot. Thanks.
I'm glad to see I'm not the only one who sees a difference in the batting order.

I also try to alternate batting handedness when I can, partially for my own sanity.
So right now I have:
Honus
Jr
Foxx
Babe
Mookie
Finest JRam
Cutch
Bellinger -
Wish I had Cutch. I’d have to sell a few cards that I don’t wanna sell to get him.
-
@AlexTheGreater7_XBL I'm heavy right-handed right now. I need to find cards I like that are lefties to mix it up.
Right now (I'm playing a conquest map) I have
Soriano
Gwynn
Bogaerts
Pujols
Sandberg
Dawson
Machado
MauerAfter this game, I'm going to change the lineup around with what was suggested above and see what happens. I had Brett in for a while but I'm trying the new Machado card right now. I wish we had a 40 man roster like the CPU teams do!

Has anyone noticed if certain cards perform better if they are in a certain spot in the lineup? It seems that way to me sometimes, and I was wondering if anyone else ever noticed this.
Yes I feel this way with some players

Offline I think it is how the CPU is program to pitch to the 3,4, and 5 hitter and if I am patient at the plate with those hitters.

I didn't think of this. I will pay more attention to the pitch selections in those spots too. Thanks.

When I have Brett batting third, he is a beast. Anywhere else, I am just average with him. Pretty sure it's a mental thing.
i think you are right - i go with my gut on how to present my lineup
-
Every year I bat Jackie Robinson 9th and put a high contact hitter at 8, which leaves my pitcher batting 7th but it works. Anywhere else and he stinks up the place.

I will have to try this out. I am so bummed that I don't do well with his cards. Maybe this will turn it around for me.

I batted Reynolds at the 2 hole for about 4 games. Hitting 0.
Now down at 8 and hitting about .350.
He ain’t moving.

I lead of with Griffey also. I just seem to hit well with him there and for some reason even ever better against lefties.
My Ranked lineup right now is
- Griffey
- Story
- Mantle
- Joc Pederson (Trying to P5 him and I platoon with Miguel Cabrera off the bench)
- Foxx
- Cano
- Trout
- Escobar
- Pitcher (Unless Ohtani)
Bench- McCutchen, Cabrera, Rollins, 97 Ruth (chaisng P5), and Thome
Pretty much everyone is p4. I always run with a 3 lefty, 3 righty, and 2 switch lineup.

Its got to matter - having guys in their natural order, they seem to do better. For example, for me, putting speed guys at lead off makes them get hits more.
