I miss the food in L.A.
Thank you for the tips! I drove through In-N-Out on my way to the hotel. Can't get that in Florida...

I work at LAX, but I live an hour away or more depending traffic. I have the original PS4 no slim and no pro.

@Blind_Bleeder said I almost forgot the garlic bread at the Smoke House in Burbank / Touluca Lake (across the street from Warner Bros.).
I am going to try this. My wife and I live about 40 miles north of Burbank so sounds like a good place to visit for our next date night. We love good BBQ, which is not always easy to find out here. Thanks!

The Smokehouse is a fine dining experience. Many studio employees eat there (and those that know about it), and you will sometimes see actors there. I used to live across the street (in an old apt building on Lakeside), and we would call over to order the bread and then take it home for dinner. It has been around since the 40s and is a treat for date night. The area has changed a bit since the 80s, but it is still a nice place to eat.

For good BBQ, try (if you haven't already) Lucille's. It's a chain, but the BBQ is good. There is one in Simi and Valencia. There is probably more, but those are the ones we used to hit. There's another place in Valencia called Wood Ranch. They are okay (we love their peanut coleslaw) but Lucille's is better, in my opinion.
We lived just inside the Ventura County line off the 126 before moving to NorCal. I sure miss the warm beaches and good food. If you're in the mood for good seafood, hit Andria's at the Ventura Harbor.

Ha, yes, we love Andria's. We visit Oxnard once or twice a year in August to see the Cowboys training camp and pick up some fresh strawberries. So, Andria's is one of our favorite stops. We live in the high desert, so the mild weather along the coast is always welcomed.

That's a bummer!!! (hint: Best Buy! )
Enjoy your trip!!My wife and I celebrated our 24th anniversary yesterday. I'll tell her it's her gift to me.
That's all??? I thought you were old?
Where are you going? I literally grew up just across the highway from LAX. Still can't hear from those old jet engines.
I got married late. I'm old. I'll be in the Glendale area.
Do yourself a favor and drop by Porto’s in Glendale (or Burbank) and get some potato balls and cheese rolls. They're busy so give yourself some time. If you're around Union Station (Olvera Street) in downtown L.A. go to Philippe's and get a French dip sandwich (ask for a double dip). Also, there's an Original Tommy's in Eagle Rock (just east of Glendale) and one in Burbank. Best greasy chili-cheese burgers and chili-cheese fries in the world. And, don't forget In-N-Out. Double Double Animal. Man, I miss the food in L.A!
Edit. I almost forgot the garlic bread at the Smoke House in Burbank / Touluca Lake (across the street from Warner Bros.). People travel from outside the U.S. to get it. Man...I miss the food in L.A.
For Pastrami The hat is the best, Chili Cheese Fries wet (Pastrami), pickles and tomatoes is fantastic. Feeds more than one person
