Anyone else having trouble stealing?

For some reason today I hit the required buttons and nothing happens. I can take the extra step, and do anything else on the basepaths, but it's just not letting me run. Bummer because I need one more SB for a player program.

Get your steals in a CPU game against a catcher with low attributes.

OK, but again, I am doing this for a player program that specifically states ONLINE stolen bases. I finally got it to let me try last night, but of course I get a great jump, then my 95 speed baserunner literally started running in slow motion while everyone else on the field went normal speed and he was thrown out by an extremely unrealistic amount. Why? Because SDS and not the players determine who wins. Working as intended.
