I don't know who Cbrev is but I wish him the best I am hopeful that this will bring more transparency between the players and the devs
-
Hopefully a presence here on TSN and not just a ghost that bans people.
-
He has a MLB the Show youtube channel called Cbrev.

"working as intended" was all I needed to know they don't care. Once they get your money their job is done. The new person will be 100% the same as the others.

I don't know the people that bought Madden are still waiting for modes in that game to actually work SDS isn't that bad yet

This game is where Madden was about 5 years ago. SDS is definitely following the EA plan. They're just not as far along.

No they're not. I was playing Madden 5 years ago. Customer service would call you a liar and hang up on you. SDS still answers tickets. You can make a winning team here with trying and not having to spend money. Try all you want on Madden, if you don't spend money, you're team will be just weak enough to lose. It didn't matter how much time you spent. I was good at Madden and I suck at this. I'd rather play this.

Without a doubt. SDS is clearly using EA as the blueprint for where they want to be. Even though I didn't buy this years game, seeing people state that Ozzie Smith has a 99 power rating is cartoonishly awful. They want to be a mix of EA sports and Triple Play Baseball.
Other than a new paint job and a couple of different legends the show 23 will be another pricey roster update and I will pass on it. I still have a little bit of stuff that I have to do online for 20 and 21 and then I will be back to offline only.

If you think this is anywhere near as bad as Madden then I don’t believe you’ve played Madden the last few years. You can’t even play franchise mode without the game breaking.

I was also playing Madden 5 years ago and had played since it first appeared on the Sega Genesis. I wasn't referring to the customer service, which I have little experience with. I was referring to the game itself. 5 years ago you could easily put together an all 99 team without spending money. I did it every year. The problem with Madden was the gameplay. It got worse every year but EA didn't care. Sound familiar? EA only cares about selling packs/bundles and with the latest version, they've made it very difficult to build a team without spending money.
I hope that SDS doesn't continue on the EA path because it's the only sports video game that I still play. I've quit all of the rest of them.

I'm glad that at least someone can see the similarities. I played Madden for a very long time and I watched as they completely ruined that game. I see very similar things happening with The Show over the past couple of years. Just like Madden, the game has gotten further and further away from reality and the gameplay has gone downhill. I hope that SDS can get back to what made this game great so that I still have 1 sports video game to play.

Madden 92? My buddies and I used to have tournament parties at my house on Saturdays. That was also the first year they did co-op. That was a good game.
You also right about "It got worse every year but EA didn't care. Sound familiar? EA only cares about selling packs/bundles..."
But we both know that in Madden, one 99over is not the same as another. Tyreek vs. Fitzgerald? Fitz was the better WR in his prime, but a lower ovr Tyreek card was a more formidable weapon than any Fitz card, and you were definitely going to have to pay for him. Do you remember the year you could get Bo Jackson as almost every position including Punter. That was expensive, too expensive for everyone to get both the Offensive and Defense Bo Jacksons. I think I sold and flipped those and waited on them before buying. My last year, I heard they started banning flippers. I understand guys that buy coin getting banned, but flipping is part of the game.
Between cheesers and that, I couldn't stand playing the game. That's not SDS yet. It could be, but I'll give them a couple more seasons. The cheesers here are bad, but not EA bad yet.

All of those OOP cards in Madden are really what started turning me off of the game. Then they did the "abilities" and all of that just became ridiculous. They can't even get their OL to actually block.
The Show is definitely not as bad as Madden yet. As I said before, I sincerely hope that SDS stops going in that direction.

Hope new community manager can help with.
New better and faster servers
Consistent timing windows
New hitting engine
Those ignoring stadium sounds for home team only should be able to hear that mess in my home field. -
