I guessing a cool Robbie Ray lefty closer card is out of the question now. Sigh.

I don't think that was ever in the question to be honest

I’d like a Nestor Cortes pitcher card that is above gold. He’s been good all year. A better Cabrera card. Great d in the outfield.
Another Guardians card or 2 would be nice as well. I used Gimenez from the AS. He hit great for me, but maybe one of their OF or Bieber.

Haha! Not now, no. But if he’d got Yordan out and the M’s took game one, maybe.

I’d love to see Jarred Kelenic continue to swing the bat well and get a postseason card.

Yeah because Logan Gilbert didn't have a spectacular game by any means so if they wanted to give it to a pitcher, and if Ray would have gotten Yordan out, it would would probably be him.

I thought Logan pitched pretty well. Take away the 330’ fly ball which became a double because of that Mickey Mouse ballpark and he only gives up 1 earned over 5.1

Not stellar, you’re right, but vs Houston I’ll take that every time.

Almost everyone playing in the DS has a juiced card already, what can they release that won’t be redundant?

Not really, unless you're saying that just having a diamond is juiced. But notable players with no high diamond:

    Freddie Freeman
    Trea Turner
Clayton Ketshaw (95 All Star is best)
    Kyle Tucker
    Jose Altuve
    Jake Cronenworth
    Joe Musgrove
    Josh Bell
    Josh Hader
    Ty France
    Mitch Haniger
    Logan Gilbert
    Robbie Ray (95 best)
    Paul Sewald
    Ronald Acuna (HRD 95 best)
    Max Fried
    Spencer Strider
    Kyle Wright
    Kyle Schwarber (95 best)
    Aaron Nola
    Zack Wheeler
    JT Realmuto (POTM 95 best)
    Nestor Cortez
    Gerrit Cole
    Jose Ramirez (95 HRD Best)
    Shane Bieber
    Emmanuel Clase (95 ASG best)

And those are just the notable ones I can think of. Lots of rile players, pitchers etc too.

I mean with multiple 99’s already in almost every position what could they possibly release that would be of any use outside of a collection?

If they are releasing 95’s as they usually do for this program what use are they outside of a collection? There’s Potm henchmen that will have higher rated cards then what is typically released. I’d rather they release cards that are useful at this stage of the game rather than just throwing cards out there to “release new cards”.

Last year almost all the PS cards were 98s and 99s, the "worst" ones aka the ones for the first round were all end game quality. Do you not remember the 98 Tommy Edman and 99 Chris Taylor? The Kiké Hernandez, Yordan Alvarez, Eddie Rosario, Jorge Soler etc. Those cards were all end game. Not sure how it was before last year but there were no throwaway cards last year. I don't expect that to change this year. The last POTM was 98s and 99s. Why would this go lower?

I’d rather they release cards that are useful at this stage of the game rather than just throwing cards out there to “release new cards”.

I know man, it's a travesty, you should probably go play another game since you're so offended by the newer cards.

They really have no choice but to make every card in this DS program a 99 now or else it is simply going to feel like a chore, that is all I am saying. Even then I can’t picture a card they could release that would crack most line ups outside of some theme teams.

Almost everyone playing in the DS has a juiced card already, what can they release that won’t be redundant?

Not really, unless you're saying that just having a diamond is juiced. But notable players with no high diamond:

    Freddie Freeman
    Trea Turner
Clayton Ketshaw (95 All Star is best)
    Kyle Tucker
    Jose Altuve
    Jake Cronenworth
    Joe Musgrove
    Josh Bell
    Josh Hader
    Ty France
    Mitch Haniger
    Logan Gilbert
    Robbie Ray (95 best)
    Paul Sewald
    Ronald Acuna (HRD 95 best)
    Max Fried
    Spencer Strider
    Kyle Wright
    Kyle Schwarber (95 best)
    Aaron Nola
    Zack Wheeler
    JT Realmuto (POTM 95 best)
    Nestor Cortez
    Gerrit Cole
    Jose Ramirez (95 HRD Best)
    Shane Bieber
    Emmanuel Clase (95 ASG best)

And those are just the notable ones I can think of. Lots of rile players, pitchers etc too.

I mean with multiple 99’s already in almost every position what could they possibly release that would be of any use outside of a collection?

Man, you really don't want any new cards released huh?

If they are releasing 95’s as they usually do for this program what use are they outside of a collection? There’s Potm henchmen that will have higher rated cards then what is typically released. I’d rather they release cards that are useful at this stage of the game rather than just throwing cards out there to “release new cards”.

That’s how it is every year once the 99s start dropping. It gets to the point where it’s more about swings and names than the actual attributes since every card is a beast. People saying “this bat won’t crack my lineup” has become such an old tired line on these forums

They really need to stop forcing 99’s out in July to try and appease the people who are going to leave for madden and 2k anyway. If they plan on supporting this game up until January we don’t need 99’s in July. Yet every year they destroy the games balance by rushing out end game cards which has now turned October to January into a snooze fest, at least for me.

In the past sure. This year I feel like they did a good job of not releasing 99s too early. They also can’t hold them til the end of the year because then people are just going to get bored of everything. It’s the same reason they release Future Stars after Face of the Franchise cards. If Future Stars was the first program people would [censored] their pants
