well looks like you are exposed, bc if you were better at hitting your spots you wouldn't have walked that many and he would have been forced to "aim" his PCI

no, that's one theory though. IRL, I always took what the pitcher gave me in real life, if the first pitch is good to hit, then I swung. If I didn't like what I saw I'd "work" the count until I got what I wanted or took a walk. a balanced approach is the "way of hitting"

To be honest I get lit up on pitches out of the zone more than anything else. Just the other day I gave up 5 in the ninth on all pitches six inches plus out of the zone. Weird thing was the guy had zero runs on two hits up til that
point.The way the game rewards non pci placement I don’t see how it is even a bad strategy to center swing or maybe even anchor your pci and sit on certain pitch while focusing on having a good eye. Trouble with that strategy is you get rung up all the [censored] time by pitches that look for sure to be out of the zone.
