Honestly what percentage of runs are via the HR? 90%? It's gotta be close.
At this point everyone has already stacked their lineup with all power hitters. Combine that with the fact we have no control over pitches and that it seems swinging early or only making "ok" contact isn't deterring the HRs and basically you've got a game where anybody can hit a HR on any pitch with any decent swing.
People are saying there's a skill gap? I don't see it as much. As long as you've got a good enough internet connection or are playing on a screen with a good enough response time that you can catch up to fastballs, the game just becomes who gets the RNG to give them the most solo HRs
The pitch speeds make the skill gap. Bad players cant time 98 Fastballs no matter what they are set up on. I just went 26-2 to make WS. I deserved to lose the 2 games and deserved to win the 26. It wasnt like that last year. That game actually let [censored] players compete at higher levels because of the line-outs. I swear you people cry just to cry. Im sorry you are bad at the game.
Let's break down this argument:
-
doesn't address the actual point I made in the original post which was about the number of HRs and NOT about winning and losing.
-
Says pitch speeds create skill gap but doesn't address if/how that affects the PERCENTAGE of runs being scored via HRs (fewer HRs can be hit but not change the percentage of runs scored via them).
-
uses personal anecdotal evidence and tries to apply it generally to an entire base of people (his personal record and "success")
-
thinks casually dropping his record and division somehow makes his opinion more valid
-
Finishes by claiming, without evidence, that I am bad at the game and implies that it makes my original points invalid
I swear you people stopped paying attention in school after 6th grade. I'm sorry you don't understand how debate works.

I have my moments where I complain about the game, but jfc that kid hasn’t made a single post in the last 2 days that wasn’t telling everyone to GiT gUd or whatever tard buzzwords he uses. Maybe one day he will grow up and learn what humble means, but I highly doubt it.

Played a WS matchup last night. Final score 8-2 i won.. 1 2 run shot and a 2 3 run bombs. One coming from my pitcher idk how, and his only 2 runs from solo shots. Noticed the end of the first week it was a HR fest. The Hr’s always come after a error in the field or walk it seems like
