I recently turned 35 and I guess I'm just at that age where I can't consistently hit the fastball. I have to sell out for it. I'm even late at times on AS which just blows my mind. I guess I need to hit the virtual practice field and face Chapman for an hour.
Current RS record is 23-2 and it is the most misleading record out there. Last night I wore an L in 13 innings facing Vida/Kluber/Hal. So basically everyone threw 100 with nasty secondary pitches. I scored 3 runs in the 1st inning then proceeded to score 0 over the next 12. I even managed to not score with bases loaded and 0 outs in the bottom of the 11th.
I absolutely suck. I have to completely sell out for fastballs and even when I'm looking for them I'm late. I don't know if there's a solution because then everyone will crush the ball. I just have to get better/practice.
I might stack my lineup with all RHB or switch hitters though. Lefty/lefty I just can't hit on HOF.
when I heard about the outlier quirk I took the time to practice against the high velo guys with this quirk on hall of fame and legend.

Same here. Average player. Have always had a winning record, still technically do but only because I’m probably above average in pitching. I can’t hit a [censored] thing right now. Swing and missing at balls in the zone way more than ever. I feel like something has changed with the timing or something. Idk I’ll keep plugging away hopefully I’ll figure it out.

Something has definitely changed. Before patches 1.04 and 1.05 I was 8-3 in RS and right around .500 in the last event. I was getting hits and scoring runs, even if i lost.
The last week or so i cant hit anything, I've fallen back to regular season in ranked and i still cant hit anything.
For the first time since I started DD in 17 I'm about to quit playing, it's just not fun anymore.

Something changed in Events for sure. I've had so many 5,6, hell even a 9 inning events 1-0 game! LOL.
I'm late on sliders now that I could always at least foul off.

i got no-hit (now it was vs Oswalt), BUT i had several good/good, a handful of good/squared up, and many good/okay...i've even tried switching to directional (trying ANYTHING right now) and then the next game i only got 2 hits...tried a 3rd game and only had 1 hit thru 3 innings and just quit...gonna try again today i guess...i did try challenge of the week and actually did decent for me

I'm not gonna complain about hit results. Honestly they aren't bad IMO
I'm just losing my reaction time or something. I'm about to go get my eye's checked and finally use this vision policy I have. Maybe my eyes are losing it lol

It's not ALL of you, it's the game. Don't blame your eyes, your age, tv versus monitor. The game is broke.
I filed a bug report last night. I played a 13 inning game, the guy was using gold Saberhagen and never went to the pen. Even with zero energy he threw nothing but dots. I had my PCI on the ball with good timing on the curve ball at least 8 times. I swung and missed, not even a foul ball?
In the 10th inning I switched to directional hitting, still I couldn't even foul balls off.
I struck out 20 times, I struck him out 30 times!
There were 9 total hits, and he won on the now expected OF decides to check his text messages just as the ball falls on his head glitch.
I've quit playing until they at least attempt to fix something.

Hitting is definitely off, on all star some games the timing and speed feel right and others the ball is coming in at 200mph. HOF is worse as you have to sell out on fastball and still miss due to poor timing windows. To top this off if you do get a perfect/perfect or a good/okay with the ball in the middle of the pci its a out 80% of the time.

I went back to play 19 this morning just to make sure it wasn't me or my setup. It played fine on all star, won a game 4-2. Had no issues with fastballs that I havent always had.

Glad to hear it's not just me! I'm avg to below avg. and actually have a winning record in RS, and I can usually make contact, but I got back in my MTO with the Padres yesterday and lost like 3 or 4 games b/c I couldn't hit anything. late on FB, early on Offspeed and the ball went nowhere when i did make contact.

Glad I'm not the only one. I finally made Championship Series two days ago. Won one game after getting into the 800s. Since then I've gone on a 4 game losing streak. It's seems like all of my good contact is going straight to a fielder, and I'm only getting on with weak contact. I just had a game where my opponent had homeruns on early/rolled over and early/okay contact, but I had a bases loaded good/squared up that was a weak line to CF with like a 93 exit velo on a Hal Newhouser fastball. Something is funky right now, and it's annoying as hell.

Same here, I was destroying the ball and the last 5-10 games I’m lucky to string 5 hits together in a game. And my pci is on the ball w good timing , always a grounder or pop up. Just below and above, but the pci dosent show that - meh

I've been hitting solid for the last month and now all of a sudden I can't hit a single goddamn thing. It was normal for me to have two or three home runs a game now I struggle just to get two or three hits. Whatever y'all changed on the Field of dreams update is absolutely terrible. It has completely taken the fun out of the game has made everything so difficult and frustrating. I'm about to delete my game unless this changes. Oh by the way I have spent hundreds of dollars on stubs and other add-ons
