So one of my biggest complaints about the game is that often times PCI placement, exit velocity and launch angle usually do not translate to a probable outcome. IMO a perfect perfect flyball with Frank Thomas vs a lefty with a 105 exit velo and 28 degree launch should be a HR every time. So I found this website which does the math for you. Kind of neat and proves my assumptions wrong as it would only be a 90 percent probability. Of course this does not figure in elevation as a lot of us play in high elevation parks. Maybe everyone has seen this but for those that have not.

Great resource, I feel like we all generalize and assume a bit to much on what we know about baseball

Yes! Someone else posted this a couple years ago and it is a very useful resource.

Is elevation an actual factor in game? I've heard it mentioned a couple times. Do they have a different setting for each park or is it just that Coors Field the ball goes farther?
Not sure how this works... -

Not sure how this works...Both temperature and elevation figure into the equation.
