Overheat problems

Have yet to hav a console that last 2 years. Great design to fail tactics. Bet I aint the only one?

Somebody call Ralph Nader

How often do you clean the room the system is in? Do you smoke in the house? I would recommend getting some compressed air and cleaning the vents every few months. If you cannot get a system to last longer than to years it is most likely that you are abusing them.
-
Do you have your console sitting in a cabinet? Do you ever clean the vents?
Mine all sit out in the open and I haven't had any issues with a console since the days of the early Xbox 360 and I've owned all of them.

Tried everything but voodooism. And yes I believe smoking is an issue but heck its an obvious design flaw wouldnt you say? PlayStation ICU I do not wish to compete from. Wearing a mask while I play is out. Unless I start using Zen scripts.

Again I would clean out the vents probably at least monthly. I used to have the same issue so I positioned by system near my back yard and if I get the urge to smoke I can sit outside and swivel the monitor to face me.

I also, at one point, got four tomato soup cans and set my PS4 on top of them to create more air flow.
-
One of my boys has our old PS3 and PS4, and he uses them both.
-
Soup cans? Give that a try

My overheat problems have usually been heat sink related btw

I clean the vents every two or three weeks because I have two dogs that can shed like a MFer, routinely dust the table the console sits on etc. There's gotta be something else here with OP, I agree there is built in obsolescence but not to that extent

Does compress air really work?, wouldn't you just be blowing more dust inside the PS4?
