Is it just me or are they way too easy to complete quickly (if you play the game a lot) I mean, within 2 days of the field of dreams program I alr had all the boss packs and completed back to old school within like 5 days to a week, ofc collecting cards like the extreme rewards and all that makes it way easier but I did the field of dreams without any of that. I've been bored bc I completed this program like a week ago and got the 50 event wins even quicker so I didn't have much to aim for in the game. I'm glad there's a new (hopefully long) program coming tomorrow and a new collection, so I have something to aim for

I have never completed a program to the end. I don’t do the whole 5 MTO or any of the tricks to get a bunch of XP day 1. I enjoy playing the game, but I do feel rushed sometimes. I just aim to get the boss. I wonder how long we will get for this bigger program. People who listen to streamers do tricks to get it done quick, then complain when they finish early they have nothing to do. It ruins it for normal players. This is not toward the OP.

What do you do to get that much XP quickly. Just the missions, conquest, and Events or RS? Any help would be appreciated. I try to play everyday, and I don’t play other games.

I play a ton of the ongoing event, until I get to like 35 wins or wherever there's a pack where I could pull smth nice, then if I haven't completed the BR program I hop into that, and finally if I really want to grind out the program and get to the packs quickly I go into RTTS and autopilot my way into a million homers to get that xp, so nothing too crazy, I've also seen there's a March to October method but honestly that mode doesn't attract me at all lol

Well it sounds like you are speedrunning the program, thus why you finish quickly. Most people aren't gonna go to RTTS to speed things up.

Hey, I finished a few days ago and didn't do MTO or RTTS. But I didn't use the XP for Mookie, the prime collection or Clemente cause I was done already. I also hardly play online. I did get 30k for Wood and Chapman as I didn't get those until this program started. I do all the exchanges. That was 90k total right there. Both conquests which is another 60k. Plus the 6ok for Wood and Chapman so in essence without playing an inning I already had 210k XP. I play through Mini seasons, do all the program missions which for me are fun as I get to mix up my rosters. I also play as much as I can during double XP. Just a few 9 inning games can get you like 30k XP plus whatever missions you complete. So today I put together my Pirates God squad and even though I couldn't use it, I complete like 4 mission of 5K XP each and got another 22k just for the gameplay not to mention finishing Clemente.

Keyword "IF", I didn't do that in the back to old school program so I'm missing how I'm speedrunning it

Edit: Also barely did like 4 or 5 series in field of dreams so yeah

Yeah, I love double XP and conquest maps. I also am a fan of mini-seasons, they are fun without the stress of online play, plus they offer good rewards and XP. I might have finished this one if I didn’t have some personal things I had to take care of. I lost a few days of playing (at least). I don’t do the exchanges. I don’t get my boss pack early enough to make a profit selling them, then buying them back.
I like the missions, they gave good XP for them. Didn’t finish Clemente. I did the moments quickly when I got home earlier tonight. Not the missions yet.

When you break up the amount of XP needed each day to finish a program, the long and short ones are pretty much the same...30-35k each day. It just seems like less because we have to keep that pace for a shorter period of time.

No matter what SDS does or how far out they push the program end there will be people who play so much that they will finish ahead of the deadline. It wasn't that many years ago that the programs ended at the bosses. Now they have extended things so that the end of the rewards path is often more than double that of earning the bosses and people still complain.

I rather like the current setup. I only care about reaching the bosses and so far I have been able to get them without burning myself out on the game itself, which is perfect.

depends on how often you play... I don't play as much on PS5 as I did on PS4 (and I got a late start on PS4 since I didn't resume my internet service until June)... I usually atleast make it to the bosses and get a few of the extra packs but MLB The Show is third in my rotation behind NBA 2K23 and Madden NFL 23 now but when March comes MLB The Show 23 will be back in that number one spot.

I think ultimately if you are soley focused on MLB The Show (or any game for that matter) you should be able to get the Featured Program completed 100% sooner rather than later.
