Wainwright/Molina tie the all time record for Starts by a Battery
-
Adam Wainwright and Yadier Molina are making their 324th start as a battery today, which ties them for most all time. This ties them with Mickey Lolich and Bill Freehan who set the record 47 years ago.
Every start past this one gives them sole possession of the record and sets a new mark. I doubt we see this record beaten again.
I know this is a record that is hard to acknowledge in game but I would hope that it would at least merit an extra Topps Now moment. You could make it a pitching moment with Wainwright or a hitting moment with Molina because he did hit a go ahead homer in the bottom of the second inning. EDIT: And he hit a second HR in the 4th inning)
This is the second all time record that they have set this year, also collecting the most wins all time by a battery, they are currently at 206 wins.

As a Brewers fan your very lucky to be a Cardinals fan. 53 years and only 1 World Series appearance for the Brewers.

I have to thank my dad for that. He was taking me to games at a very young age. I live in a town in central Illinois that is pretty much an even split between Cub and Cardinal fans.

I don't know if SDS can do something like that, but maybe having them boosted when they play together in a game could be nice. Having them supecharged or parallell 5 when together... something along these lines...
