Confusing play

Had a decent Event game going until the Top of the 3rd inning.
He was pitching with RF Wood and gave up a lead-off triple and then a homerun to MA Devers.
Then for some unknown reason he just sat there allowing the game to pitch for him. EVERYTHING was down the middle. And he didn't even have any fielders try to field the ball it it wasnt hit for a home run.
Needless to say 10 hits later, with the score 11-0, he finally decided to quit the game.
Not complaining as I'm sorting if the last 20 pts for the July POTM Program and that game gave me 800+ PXP towards the one mission. But why would you tank the game like that?

I think he thought the game would automatically end on a mercy rule, but when that didn't happen he quit.

I’ve had that happen several times through the years, I always assumed they thought they turned the game off. I’ve done it before - I thought the 8th inning was the 9th so after I made the 3rd out, I thought it was over and went to do something and come back later to see dude put up 17 runs in the 9th lol

I don't think it was that because when the ball was hit to a fielder they (user) would runs around in a circle.

Some parents play with their little kids together at times. Maybe dad started off then had some house chore to do and his little kid stepped in?

He was either being a baby after the leadoff triple & HR and just wanted to make you wait forever between pitches, or perhaps he died and then the EMTs showed up and were kind enough to shut off the console after you scored 11 runs.
