I understand the logic. Why would they let you have 120,000 XP for free every program? And yes @Pennstatefencer_MLBTS this is the first time you haven't been able to double dip, but it's also the first time you are allowed to collect the same cards for strictly XP. Double dipping in collections/xp is different than double dipping in XP twice

But people can set up multiple march to October runs or RTTS players (if I understand that from other postings) and game the system to quickly get bosses hours after release?

Like others I “collected” Kerry + Chapman because they were no sell anyways so seemed like no difference…..ultimately earned nothing for them as I had already maxed the program (thanks to 2xXP and the conquest extreme).

Other “collect” missions like milestone/award series still allow you to select people already “collected” in other programs….I’d be irked if I really can’t collect the earned cards in the program.

You still actually have to play the MTO and RTTS stuff each time though. This is getting free XP for something already completed. And you haven't been able to double up collection XP at all. Double dipping usually refers to using the same cards you collected for Brett on McCutchen. The XP collections haven't been the same in any program

Yep, I collects last month just to get the worthless stubs. Lost 90k xp by doing it.

    Not happy.

Same here. I collected those extreme cards after the program ended and it didn’t help at all, I just did it because it was available and now we could’ve added them now. Not happy about it at all.

How would being able to collect the finest cards again for this program be any different than when they make a collection for X number of a certain type of cards? If they make a program collection for 25 All Star cards or something like that, a person is allowed to 'double dip' and collect the sames cards for a second time that you've collected for Brett or Cutch.

Because you are still only getting XP the one time in your scenario. The first time you are using them for Brett/Cutch and the second you are using them for XP. You aren't collecting the same exact cards for XP twice

Same here, what is this? Either let me collect it or don’t. add the same cards. Not my problem if you want to recycle the program collection

Actually it is your problem hence the thread started about said topic.

Usually you can’t use cards for multiple programs. This caught me off guard.

I actually thought about not collecting Kerry Wood last collection, but I thought that SDS wouldn't make him two program collections. If SDS knew this and mentioned it in a stream then it could have been a note by the collection. The more I think about this the more i think that Extreme should have dropped the same time as this program if things were going to be handled this way.

They did mention in the stream that if you didn't get them by the time the new program dropped; you could still collect them for this program.

However, I agree that it should've only been for the program that was active when it dropped or waited until today to release it.

People that caught on to this waited until today to lock them in and if they allow you to do all 4; that would've been 120K in XP within seconds.

    Not thought out by SDS.

This was awesome!! I did the extreme program late so just got Chapman, Cano and Donaldson a couple days ago and was already maxed out at 500k. Now a free 90k XP right off the bat this program!!

Yes it's BS on SDS's part. You can't expect everyone to be able to watch the streams! I live in Australia and the streams are at like 3am for me. This should have been in writing somewhere that they can only be collected once, maybe even as you are collecting them as a warning. They have been dropping the ball all year at SDS and pissing people off. It will be interesting to see how many new players come back after they year they just had!

They just should have been more clear with their wording. Already had program done so basically traded 120k XP for 800 stubs. They just said it would return so I assumed it was gonna work for this program. They’ve never done this before sooo.

I'm pretty sure I collected Kerry Wood last program, but I left the rest just in case this happened. However I just logged on for the first time today and it looks like I can collect Kerry Wood again. Did they update it maybe?

EDIT: Nope, I'm wrong, I see it says 0/1 but you can't actually collect it again once you click in to it. Well I sure am glad I didn't collect those others now.

It was said before and I'll say it again. They should've waited until a new program was released to offer the collections.

I think giving people the option is always the way to go. Maybe some would have preferred to collect them for the last program if they needed to. There just should have been a message in the game telling you that you could only collect them once.

I get that people say you shouldn't get to double dip, it a valid point. However if I would have known that I could only do one I would have skipped those 15 Show packs I earned in the last program for collecting cp And used it for the new program. Alittle communication or heads up would have been nice. For the most part SDS has crushed it this year, but this is one ball they dropped.
