I've been looking all over Google, and I can't find coaches for this game, so here I am.

    I need a coach, badly.

Been playing this game since 06 on directional hitting only. Tried switching to zone this year and digging deeper into DD, and I flat out suck. Even in practice mode, my PCI is all over the place, and my pitch prediction is garbage. This has been the year (especially with the extreme program) where I nearly gave up entirely on the franchise, all because of my ineptitude and how much directional gets nerfed every year.

I've always loved this game and I don't want to lose all passion for it, so I'm willing to pay someone to show me just what the hell I'm doing so wrong. It could be that I'm just too old (32 this November) and my reflexes are just not good enough. Either way I'd like to at least try to get better. Please let me know where I can find reputable coaches, if they are indeed out there.

Its not age.im 47 and use zone. It is a big learning curve, thousands of at bats, tens of thousands maybe, depending how fast you build muscle memory.

I'm 44. Not great but win more than I lose H2H. I would suggest forcing yourself to stink with zone and promise yourself never to use directional again. When I was struggling with dropping my PCI I bought some precision rings to go along my stick extensions. They are kind of like bumpers for your PCI that definitely makes a difference. Then go to batting practice against pitchers you see often. Manually select one pitch and location (think Burnes = sinkers inside) and make the computer throw you pitch after pitch. As you get better up the difficulty. Then add another pitch and another location (maybe fastballs and curveballs up and in and low and away). When you play an actual game you'll now recognize the pitch you want and ignore the ones you don't.

32 too old? 😆 I turn 57 this weekend. You're never too old until you quit trying and give up.

There are lots of videos on YouTube that can help you.

I find i drop the pci the most on guys with high arm slots, when i do this i try and focus on the ball instead, it helps.

48, have a +.500 record in ranked (50 - 40, or so), refuse to "practice," and know that because of that I'll never make WS. It's all good.

I've played one RS game in the past several weeks. The game isn't consistent enough on competitive for the time sink a RS game requires.

Have we asked weather he is playing on a monitor / TV or anything like that? Made a world of difference for me when I went from an older 4K to to a monitor and now playing on LGC1.

That another topic , the monitor vrs the non monitor user. Monitor clearly gives your opponent the big edge if you dont have one .These kind of factors added up equal no validity to online play. Having said that let me add I would darn sure get one myself if I could afford one. I wanna be a YouTube hero too WAAAH !

What camera do you use? You can customize the camera to your liking. Zoom, height etc. Very useful for you to find an angle where you can see high from low balls. I was using strike zone 3 and zoom but lately customized my own and already drawing more walks.

Also, when I'm struggling I try to "anchor" my PCI (to low pitches for example which is my favourite) and just honestly practice patience. Wait for that pitch there rather than trying to swing and attack every location.

Send me a DM and we can chat more. I'm also learning and I'm 36 lol. ID is canabiense for Ps5.
