Velocity gives less time to react, not saying that it's impossible to make non-outlier pitchers good in game, but it's absolutely a challenge trying to balance that.

I have played a few guys that doesn't need an outlier to have a great game. I have enjoyed playing to them because it is pure skills in how they choose them pitches.

But trying to make every good by having an outlier is the worst thing to do in a baseball video game. A video game is about enjoyment, excitement.
It doesn't worth the frustration it to cause while playing unskilled player.

Tbh it just sounds like you are being pretty elitist, using pitchers with outlier doesn't make you an unskilled pitcher

And I forgot about Keuchel until the person above mentioned it, adored him, 2.14 ERA 0.71 WHIP, got him to P4

Using hitters with higher vision and higher contact means it's way easier to hit then ones with smaller PCI, doesn't mean you aren't skilled if you use those

I'm not saying that people using outlier are unskilled.
I'm saying that most of the people that I play doesn't even knows how to pick them pitches. They swing to everything. Even to pitches that touch the ground. They are unskilled.
But at times these kind of unskilled players becomes hard to beat because no only because of the outliers. But because there are games in where no matter how good you swing, it will end in a fly or ground ball or in a hundreds of fouls, due to those stupid encrypted games and the perks that are also ruining players real skills.

RNG has existed long before outlier, has it gotten worse? Maybe, but that is a conversation that has very little to do with outlier tbh

RNG has gotten worse due to the 100+ attributes, outlier just adds to the frustration of it, see Extreme Showdown for the best example.

And you can be a great pitcher and a terrible hitter, so I wouldn't necessarily correlate swinging at bad pitches with being bad at pitching

That's the thing. They are really bad at pitching also. I'm talking about people with huge losing records and sometimes due to the 99 over outlier pitcher you can't do nothing but to be patient until the game decide to compensate for a good swing or a mistake of them.

I'm the kind of player that only like to win via real skills.

............ if you took a poll of whether players like to win from their "real skill", you would get a very large majority that say yes. That's not exactly a rare opinion to have

you are blaming outlier but this happened before outlier, anyone who threw less than 97 was considered worthless except for Hershiser(sinker) Sale(delivery) and submariners(funky delivery).

They only became worthless in ‘18 and then SDS doubled down with outlier, followed by tripling down with OP sinkers. I used to get along fine with sub 97 guys, just had to mix well. You can still mix well and succeed with sub 97 guys but they aren’t the META

They didn't become worthless in 18, unless you and I are thinking of other games, fastballs were useless, it was the Bruce Sutter splitter pitch era in MLB 18

‘19 is the one I’m thinking of then, I was doing fine with sub 97 guys in ‘17, It’s a lot harder to do now with secondary pitch spam feature but can still be done.

Im with you on that they are very useable and effective if you re skilled, my point is they were automatically considered worthless by a lot who never gave them a chance because they didnt have velo

Yeah, 18 was the reason secondary pitch spam feature was put in 19 and onwards, everyone was throwing offspeed in 18, so in typical SDS fashion, they overcorrected.

I think that’s because SDS made it so, outlier the reliance on velo all were added after the fastball was made useless in ‘18. As @eatyum_PSN stated they over corrected and here we are, outlier heavy META. O well, keeps guys I like to use cheap I guess 🤷‍♂️

I already stated Dallas Keuchel, Signature Mussina is about that threshold to and he dominated.

I think you didn't understood the challenge purpose.
I'm asking someone to play me, to challenge me with pitchers that don't exceed 94 mph limit.

You can't speak for someone else common!

Keuchel still owns my lowest ERA for a pitcher with 80+ innings

I roll out takashi Maddux, Keuchel, sig Mussina, sig Glavine and Prior, Cliff Lee and Hamels. In years past I have had success with Sig Waino, even the 84 Kyle Hendricks,

Yes, I don’t use crossplay on. I have a conspiracy theory about it, probably it’s just me and my tinfoil hat but I always have laggy and shitty connections with other platforms.
