Ichiro cards?

Longtime MLBTS franchise player, first year truly playing DD.
Just wondering if Ichiro ever gets a card in DD. I get why we do not see Sosa, McGwire, Clemens, etc. but wondering if I will see one of my favorite players in the past 20+ years.

He had a card until he retired. Don't expect him this year. Maybe in another year or two.

So SDS has to negotiate with each retired player? There isn't a retired-player group of some kind?

Correct. Even being in the HOF is not a guarantee that someone will get a card.

Since he is no longer an active player or in the HOF, he will either have to join the MLB Player’s Alumni Association or sell SDS the rights to his name and likeness.

That was a good OF in MLBTS19. Ichiro and Gwynn were not just usable, but great. The following years didn’t have the gameplay that 19 had. Yes, we do get much more content; also, I have to applaud them for how they handled the Coronavirus year when they had to make content without a chunk of the season. They nailed that.
