A full Mini Season is at minimum 34 games, right? 28 regular + two best of 5 series? So you probably wouldn’t want it to be updated more than about once a month so people have time to finish a season in between featured program missions, conquests, showdowns, smaller programs, POTM, etc. I think they’ve updated it an appropriate amount of times.
This is their first year with supercharging cards. They’re getting a feel for what does and doesn’t work. I would like to see a whole lot more supercharging, but I might be in the minority. But especially later in the cycle when LS are almost completely obsolete, it would be cool to have more reasons to use them. I would be totally on board with one supercharged player from the winning team of every game, but that might be overkill to some people.
An update a month is reasonable and I liked the supercharged players. Lineup diversity is a must in this game. There are times when everyone has the same team

Mini seasons has had updated missions literally once a month. The community assuming they were going to add more cards to it when there was never any indication that was going to be the case is the problem there. I agree slightly on supercharges, but some act like they want supercharges for a guy having 2 hits and a homerun. That happens every day.
Here may be an unpopular opinion, but the MLB the show content creators are by far the most ungrateful whiners of any video games content creators ever. SDS overcorrects on their complaints every single year.

They never once advertised that mode as a way to grind for cards, just a different way for offline players to play. Showdown doesn't have cards. 99% of conquests don't. They already force people to play moments enough. Forcing people to play mini seasons once a month just so weirdos can get free cards is stupid

I see how it can be said mini seasons has been updated and at the same time I completely see how others feel it hasn't. As always, communication goes a long ways in life and SDS could have easily said, "So we are starting out the year with a Longo Mini Seasons reward, but this will be a one time thing. You can earn packs by playing mini seasons, but there will not be rewards like this on a regular basis." Without the communication and with what a lot of people had asked/hoped for, they thought there was going to be an offline mode that offered rewards other than packs. Community shouldn't have assumed and communication from SDS would have been great.
In my opinion, the lack of supercharging is a dropped ball. Never needed to be multiple times a day like opening day was and it honestly shouldn't have been then, but there are performances probably once a week that could justify a supercharge. I don't think supercharging holds much value in RS as the year goes along, but it is huge in BR and Events and has really brought a new element to them. The biggest issue has been how inconsistent it has been. I remember back at the start of the year when it was more often they supercharged Vlad and he stayed supercharged for about a week when it was a "24 hour supercharge". Now they hardly do it and you face a random person in BR or Events and it is like "Oh wow....I didn't realize anyone was supercharged.".

I guess my feeling to that would be...take away conquests and make more of a focus on mini seasons. Have a mode where people can get their "free packs" and a reward once a season and you would have a mode that would get my backing. At least you are playing a "season" of baseball.
Conquest just serves no purpose in a baseball game other than "free packs" and you can borderline say they "force" people to play conquests multiple times a month. Granted they rarely have card rewards, but with the amount of XP attached and packs, most people feel like they have to play them.

I guess I just don't get the complaints about mini seasons. Far more people play mini seasons than anyone that played Extra innings any year before. No one said a single word about any of this when extra innings was in the game. It's just a more unique way for offline players to play, and a mode offline players have been asking for for years. The only people that are unsatisfied with the mode are the people that make money on player debuts and their followers

I like Mini seasons now that they are working properly. It took me 3 months to finish one season due to the disconnects, but I was still able to get the Longoria card and it just automatically put up the next months reward for me to earn. They can’t give to many free cards away tied to mini seasons because every online player would have a stroke complaining that people are getting good cards to easily. In the years I have been on this forum I have learned, people will never be satisfied.

Conquest is my favorite game mode by far. I like Mini Seasons overall, but I would hate to see Conquest removed in favor of MS. I strongly prefer playing current against real MLB teams with real MLB uniforms and (kinda sorta ish) up-to-date rosters. MS is fine, but playing against the Pinheads and Dragons and Feral Cats or whatever just feels like we're back to the old NES days before they had licenses to use team names and logos.
The Mystery Conquest map was a cool idea, but they really should figure out a way to make the 3 teams be randomly chosen every time we start a new map. Or at the very least they could manually go in and change the opponents once a week. I can't imagine that would take much effort at all, and it would be a huge improvement over having to play the A's, Braves, and Guardians over and over and over and over and over and over and over.
And over and over and over.
And over and over.
And so on and so forth.

Mini seasons has been updated multiple times.
There have been supercharged players as recently as last week.
At least be accurate with your hate. How many times is multiple? Like two?
Sounds like the frequency of supercharged went down. Dang near every night when I was playing in May
The frequency went wayyyy down. They deserve every negative comment they get. Terrible release.

I definitely get that feeling too with the Mini Seasons teams. I hate the names and the repetitiveness of facing those same teams gets old. I just prefer the "season" format over the "hexagon number" format. I am one of the oddballs who liked Extra Innings because it was a nine inning mode and I was super hopeful to get a nine inning mode based around seasons. In the end my biggest issue between conquest and mini seasons is with them both being offline and three inning games, there is just too much similarity.

How awesome would it be if MLBTS could license the teams from SNK Baseball Stars? I'd be up for playing the "Lovely Ladies". Pink uniforms, underhand pitching, they fall down and cry when they get hit by a pitch...
Before anyone at SDS bans me, all of the things I mentioned above are 100% true. Where are my SNK fanboys? I know you're out there...
Maybe SDS could update the Ladies' star pitcher by scanning in Anne Hathaway's face. We'd never hear from @SchnauzerFace_MLBTS again.

SDS deserves the hate. You gotta keep your advertised modes up to date and fresh. Come on now
Yeah i know, there are 1200 live series cards, not including free agents, yet we get 1 or 2 at a time supercharged.
They should have at least 200 supercharged at once. It would give a lot of value to live series cards.
Instead they like to be lazy.

It gives no value to LS cards, their price doesn’t increase and the attributes still don’t match up to a lot of the flashback and legends cards. Supercharging cards just because they hit a double is pointless, it’s essentially what they do with Topps Now cards.

Not to mention the 1200 love series cards he's referring to also include free agents and entire 40 man rosters. So regarding actual Major Leaguers currently on teams 200 supercharged players would be a little more than 1/4 of the league.
-
The only update mini seasons got was when they stopped releasing cards because they failed to reward people properly for what they did. That isn’t an update it’s a cop out. They literally choose NOT to update it. I start every mini season with a 8-0 record…They really SDS’d that mode from the start.

200 seems extreme.
I don't see a problem with supercharging more but I do believe they need to have set criteria otherwise they would be flooded with "so and so got supercharged for 2 doubles so why didn't the player on my favorite team get the same treatment?"
My thoughts would be to either keep them as rare as they are now but supercharge them for a longer period of time or loosen up the criteria so we get a supercharged cards a little more often.
