Is this game officially dead?

Did a decent madden put the nail in MLB? Of course we know the NFL is more popular than MLB and madden has its own community but it just seems like this version of MLB is dying on the vine. I’m not trying to be controversial as I like both madden and mlb but it seems like all the hype has switched to madden. Anyone else noticing this? The forums have been lifeless for the last week or so. Doesn’t seem like people are that juiced up for the content the show is putting out. Just curious what you guys are thinking?

No.
Its the same every year. A group of MLB The Show players bolt for the newest and shiniest Madden.
The rest of us continue to play MLB The Show.
Me, personally. I have no desire to go to Madden.

because some streamer stops playing the game is dead lol imagine. They jump games to seek revenue and it will be the same when 2k drops

And? I still have no wait times when I load up the game rn. The Madden release gets echoed every single year, and every single year it's still the same, we lose some and the game goes on, it never dies, there is just less people, which is what happens with just about any yearly release game ever

I’m basing this opinion off of the activity of the forums here. It just doesn’t seem as “lively” as it has been in years past. Do you disagree with that? I was just curious since madden released a pretty good one this year if people were jumping to madden? You’ve been around these forums for as long as I can remember so I’m sure you have an opinion on it.

^ This. Tbh these forums have been pretty much dead since 2020, a lot of the good people left (or were banned more recently)

Cam someone amswer me honestly because I really don't get it. Are we not allowed to play two sports games at once? I can understand if a new baseball game came out and people jumped ship but why because Madden came out would people stop playing this for that? Can't they do both?
I haven't played Madden in years but at one point I'd play 2K, Madden and The Show and really only head to head with friends.
To the OP's point, I do think The Show has had some misses recently most notably Griffey but I think that is just part 1 of a much bigger program.

I think the way the games are built it's really hard to "keep up" in ultimate teams nowadays, so to keep at the top of both, you'd have to have a lot of free time or money on your hands.

I would assume it’s just that MLB is so grindy that you can fall behind pretty quickly. Also due to the grind you kinda lose motivation at times. At least I do, anyway.

All i have seen on twitter is how this years madden is nothing but the same old trash. Just because you’re bored doesn’t mean the games dead. It’s a countdown until they start releasing the real juicy cards…we’re just beginning

It's the same BS as the console war stuff. It's this need to say one thing is better an that this one thing (madden) is the best because it made people choose it over the other thing(MLB)
It's all dumb play what makes you happy, I am playing Lego Star Wars for the next 3 days since I got all the bosses.
