Are you talking about meter or analog pitching? Because with analog I can put the pitch where I want too often and the OP said analog

Personally disagree with you on analog pitching needing to be more precise. Imo they improved it greatly in 19 . I actually can miss once and a while and walk someone , was way too dominating before. I actually think that they need to make it even harder to hit your spots.

We’ll just agree to disagree there. Respect your opinion and input but pitchers with higher control ratings should be able to pinpoint more often than not

How about you play online first and then show us how you're able to get the pitches where you want them?

absolutely...... you are the voice of reason in this ridiculous thread

Lol can you provide input as to why you think it’s ridiculous? I genuinely would like to know your logic behind the comment

I'm pretty sure we're all talking about analog. When I say "meter", I'm referring to the analog meter.

My understanding is that the controls work the same online as offline and I just don’t want the game messed up because someone wants to cheese online to dominate others , if it doesn’t work the same online as offline then I apologize . I have zero interest to play garbage baseball online wether I am good or bad at it so that really doesn’t matter to me

No worries, I figured you weren't aware. The physical controls are the same, but it behaves entirely differently, for some reason. It's hard to explain and I'd encourage you to see for yourself. I think we all want the same thing here, which is for user input to matter more when using analog.

My Spots consistently got worst after the mid year patches. Maybe it’s me, but I used to win a lot of low scoring games. Now not
Soo much, now I play less, I care less and maybe that has a lot to do with it, but on some level something changed and it did not favor my play style ... another offseason where I need to get gud I assume

I can say from an OFFLINE perspective, I would have perfect release using a high control pitcher and it went nowhere near where I placed it.

Pitching against the computer is so easy. You still miss spots and hangbpitches, but not like in dd. My motto on pitching online is throw and hope it’s not destroyed.

Pitching this year is just plain bad.

I know I’m beating a dead horse here but I really hope SDS removes the terrible RNG outcomes to pitching for next years game.

Can’t tell you how many times I’ve hit my marks on the meter (analog) going down and up, only to have the pitch end up in a totally different location.

It’s impossible to throw a low change up or curveball below the zone. It either goes in the dirt or is hung in the lower third.

Had times where I get “early” on the meter and the pitch goes lower and vice versa. It’s a joke how much they took the control out of our hands for pitching this year.

Please SDS, take a hard look at pitching and make it better in 20

Ratings and confidence come into play, sir.

Considering this happens with 99 ovr pitchers from the beginning of the games your argument is invalid

I strictly play DD RS, and can say that analog pitching for online gameplay is straight garbage.

This is indisputable not because I say so, but because anybody who has played online has experienced it themselves.. Pitch control is horrendous regardless of the pitcher's control attributes.

I think we can all agree that if we aim to hit the outside corner of the plate for a strike, that's where it should go, and not outside the zone for a ball, or right down the middle of the plate, or even worse, hit the batter. If you think we shouldn't be able to hit the spot we aim for every time, fine, I'm ok with that. But missing it more times than not is frustrating and nonsense which is how it currently plays. Like I said, straight garbage.
