Here’s my Predictions assuming they still are active players ranging from gold or lower:
Red Sox: Bogaerts
Yankees: Gardner
Blue Jays: Giles
Orioles: Chris Davis
Rays: KiermeirerIndians: Carrasco
Tigers: Miguel Cabrera
White Sox: Abreau
Twins: Berrios
Royals: Salvador PerezAngels: Pujols
Astros: could really be any of those cheaters but I’ll guess Reddick
Rangers: Andrus
Athletics: Sean Manaea
Mariners: who knows, Vogelbach?Nationals: Tre Turner
Marlins: Urena
Braves: Soroka
Mets: Syndargaurd
Phillies: HoskinsPirates: Taillon
Cubs: Schwarber
Cardinals: Carpenter
Brewers: Braun
Reds: CastilloDodgers: Muncy
Rockies: Desmond
Diamondbacks: Archie Bradley
Padres: Hosmer
Giants: SandovalNow I’m kind of hoping they change it up and instead of doing just present players, use past players. For instance, like a Kevin Youkillis for the Red Sox or a Tim Lincecum for the Giants.
For the padres to get a good hosmer flashback, he’d have to have a good season there...
Didn't want the Royals to sign Gordon. Hugely overated player in Royals history. Didn't want them to sign Hosmer either for that amount. Glad they didn't but he is still a better overall player than Gordon.
Hosmer
9 seasons
9.9 WAR, 107 wRC+, -7 DRS/-27.1 UZRGordon
13 seasons (2 injury shortened)
32.1 WAR, 103 wRC+, 112 DRS, 87.3 UZRWho's overrated???
Hosmer is as overrated as it gets...
Gordon has always been slightly underrated if anything, for his career... He's an amazing fielder.
Hosmer isn't even half of Gordon for his career...One of those numbers guys huh? Do you watch the Royals? I watch them all the time. Hosmer is better in almost every offensive category than Gordon with 1,000 less ab's. Although Gordon has more steals, Hosmer would beat him in a foot race. WAR is really not a great stat. It just says Gordon's replacement was worse than Hosmer's.
Oh buddy... We all watch baseball. I've seen Hosmer play a billion times. Watching him play means nothing when his end result shows in the stats. Why I put wRC in there along with defensive stats was to illustrate more than just WAR, that Hosmer is not as good. He's a first baseman. He should rake because that's what 1B is supposed to do. He does not. Never did.. and he is a subpar fielder too, so what does he provide?
And if you use the argument, "well 1B has actually been a weak position the last 10 years compared to anytime in history." You would be correct.. which makes Hosmer look even worse, since that is what WAR accounts for.The numbers tell the full picture. Not watching him with bias.. and numbers just told you how it is.

Give me a Judge Rookie Flashback.
-
i think we're more likely to see some flashbacks than we are current players. not really from the dead ball era or even that far back. don't have some in mind for all teams, but here are a few i think would be fun to see:
Rays: Chris Archer
Red Sox: Dustin Pedroia
Yankees: Andy Pettitte
Royals: Greg Holland
Angels: C.J. Wilson
Rangers: Josh Hamilton (longshot, but first for everything, right?)
Nationals: Gio Gonzalez
Mets: R.A. Dickey
Phillies: Cole Hamels
Cardinals: John Lackey
Cubs: Carlos Zambrano (would say Arrieta, but he usually gets a higher flashback later)
D-Backs: Justin Upton
Rox: Troy Tulowitzki
Dodgers: Matt KempI'm guessing they stay in a closer time frame for TA and venture further in the past for other flashbacks

Idk I know someone pointed out the positions for the missions, for example the Braves is 2B for Ozzie and then 1B and OF for Freddie and Acuna which would make sense if they were doing FotF for all. Idk though, only reason I haven’t locked in Braves yet
I thought about that oo, but if they release a juiced Soroka card I need it bad.
-
Rockies will be a...
Dante Bichette Veteran
Second will be the team's first SS card. I see it being either Ubaldo Jimenez or possibly Bichette. But I think we see BOTH Ubaldo and Bichette, just don't know the order. I'd imagine Ubaldo would be a 90. Bichette would be a 95 SS. -

That’s just a statement I dont agree with. Gordon has won 7 gold gloves and shifted all the momentum of the 2015 series in game 1. Hosmer was great in KC, but if they were gonna sign anyone besides Gordon, Cain was the guy and they blew it
-
I kinda think the second part will be past faces of the franchise or at least the same idea with legends as opposed to flashbacks. Then for set 3/4 have the award winners and SS cards released. I hope I’m wrong but I think it’s legends

Giles for the Jays? I don’t know how you can consider an impending free agent, a guy they shopped last year, Face of the Franchise lol
Then who would you think? lmao Grichuk?

Your list is exactly why they aren't going to do FOTF cards for stage 2. Hosmer, Desmond, Urena, and Kiermaier? Yikes. They also never said that team affinity was exclusive to FOTF cards. They could put any series of cards in here and they will. You think we would get 99 rated FOTF cards? Hell no. We might get a few more FOTF cards but Id say with the most part they are done with those.
That's not what I was saying lmao

I'm ready for Schwarbombs!

Would absolutely hate if they picked Ureña for the Marlins

No, he’s super totally right. Numbers don’t mean anything. So, now I’m going to use that same logic and plant my flag in saying that Jonathan Villar is better than Mike Trout because that’s how nonsense works.

Anyone but Soroka for the Braves - great pitcher in real life - online will get shredded
-
My guesses are based on the fact that they will use non-diamond players who either have been or have the serious potential to be
mid-tier to high tier diamonds and that these diamonds will be rostered fewer and far between given that they will require more of a grind per team and be more of a reward for those who grind with their favorites for their favorites.Red Sox: Bogaerts 90
Yankees: Severino 91
Blue Jays: Bichette 88
Orioles: Means 88
Rays: Glasnow 90Indians: Clevinger 91

We seriously have a guy arguing that Eric Hosmer was better than Alex Gordon in here?
I’m glad other people already pulled out the stats and I didn’t have to do it this time.

Ya.. demise... He even argued the numbers don't matter, when it's blatantly obvious!

I've been a season ticket holder since '98, so I'll chime in. Yes, I've seen a game or 80 a year in person. Hosmer should have been traded after year three, before he started pulling arbitration dollars from the organization. He would have brought in a huge haul, before everyone else figured out he was a paper tiger.
Oh well, we got one ring, now we're back to being the Royals.

Lowkey want to do Orioles in hopes of a high diamond Manny Machado
