Extremely frustrating but at the end of the day it is just a video game so as long as you still get the win don't go raising your blood pressure over some idiot that can't take giving up a bomb. Also if you enjoy the game and dashboarding is the only reason you're gonna stop playing it seems like kind of a dumb reason but if it's just the last straw on top of other issues I get it.

excellent point! Dashboarding is far from the only issue with H2H play in MLB The Show. But considering all the other garbage, it does put the fecal-taste icing on top of the cake!

Dashboard all you want against me. I’ll take the quick W.

Also, people dashboard because of reactions like this.

If SDS can not stop this from happening, I am very seriously considering never giving them a single cent going forward. My latest experience was in a 0-0 game in the bottom of the 6th. I capped a 2-out rally with an apparent 3 run homer (Wander Franco, total stud), and was dashboarded. When I messaged the opponent to complain, they first insinuated that I had no right to message them to complain. Then they (he/she/whatever) had the gall to tell me to chill out because it's just a video game. Well, if that's the case, why the compulsion to dashboard??? Just let the ball land and quit.Or are they just making a pathetic attempt to minimize their ERA!!??

How is sds supposed to stop people from dashboarding? Lol. Are you serious?

I think a lot of us wish that once the game goes into the no-doubt animation that it would register the stats.

I had two satisfying dashboard attempts today where my opponent was like 2 seconds too slow and the HR’s counted.

To be honest that is why I think they went to PXP instead of stat based missions in the first place. Imagine how bad it was when the mission was hit 10 HRs with this card. At least PXP gives you credit for things other than HRs.

Maybe u can't stop them from dashboarding but at least have it so the play finishes and the stats count. Would solve all the angst.

But if it's BR or an event and they dashboard early enough wouldn't u be robbed of pxp since I thought u have to have so many batters b4 it kicks in?

Yes, It did not completely eliminate the problem but they have, at least in my opinion, lessened the impact a little.

Probably the best bet (maybe) is to remove the 8 batter minimum for online games and leave it in place for offline games because what they are trying to prevent with that rule is people who put a guy in the leadoff position, bat with him, and then quit out and restart the game.

Minimum of 8 batters. But if YOUR opponent quits before YOU get to the 8th batter; you're fine. They won't get any PXP; just you.

Been an issue for so many years and I feel you OP. I just assume, at this point - there will be no resolution to the problem. Sad, but true.

This event I have had about 4 homer dashboards and one guy just go into a 3 minutes pause to make me sit there when he was down to his last strike in a 1-0 game. All of these guys had very good records.

I still don’t get it, I have taken some lumps but stay to the end or give the guy a sportsmanlike friendly quit flash before quitting.

In ranked seasons when this happens to me, when they unpause I immediately pause and make them wait another 3 minutes. Never fails it's the last time they pause for an extended time during the game.

If you care that much about somebody quitting your RS game, you need to rearrange your priorities in life sir.

Here is the thing: it is fine to be pissed and quit mid-game. But dashboarding is literally robbing your opponent of legitimately earned accomplishments. I have myself been known to bean the bases full then quit after the opponent blew the game open. But at least I never stole away stats from them. Dashboarding is cowardly garbage, and if SDS can't/won't stop it, then I am done with them!!

I think I may have played you last week then. I no longer get upset when someone beans my guys and then quits. At least you give me a little towards team OBP before leaving. Besides, I don't win very often, and I understand going on tilt sometimes.

And that's my current problem. I don't win very often, and my hitting is among the worst online, so when I get those rare moments that I dare to get ahead, and someone can't deal costs me stuff towards a program. I am looking forward to finally finishing some of the remaining programs that I can finally be done with online play at least for 21. 20 I let sit for a long time, so I have a lot more to do.

I'm sick of it! I tried to kill 2 birds with 1 stone in this event and it def took me twice as long to complete. I will need to go to conquest moving forward. So frustrating as I have left countless PXP on the table because of crybabies' who don't think they can come back from 1 run.

If I quit, I will let the ball land and let the run score. Since I know how lame it is to get nothing on a center up swing. SDS cares nothing about gameplay or any aspect that revolves around the "fun factor" of this game!
