Starting 8 - all Quality (97+)
Bench - 3 Quality (95+)
Bench - 2 Common (60) (with speed)

Really good formula here. It's a 3 inning game so I find I only use one guy off the bench for pinch hitting and maybe one as a pinch runner. I have struggled to find 4 good relievers that I can trust. Starters do just fine but I always choke with the lead in the bottom of the 3rd.

The 95 limit for the teams is a joke it’s way to easy to manipulate the rosters. The 95 limit should have been for starters, bullpen, lineup, and bench. Here’s the last lineup I’ve faced in the event.

Riley
Soto
Brett
Dansby
Napoli
Devers
Jackie Robinson
Randy Johnson

It’s a joke I’m completely convinced nobody at SDS thinks anything through and they don’t play test jack. They should have just removed the 95 rating all together because I can’t imagine the “intent” was to face non stop end game lineups. The only one in the lineup who’s a 95 is Devers. I’m not impressed with the way the developers treat this game at all. It’s inexcusable on their part to set the event up in the way that they did. Just tank a few roster spots and you’re all set and no I don’t blame people for taking advantage of SDS lack of competency.

You can get more help from you Pen if you use a guy like Nick Swisher ( Switch hitter obviously) off your bench for you Pinch hitter. Then one speed guy to run if you need it.

I think overall I have 4 95+ starters just in case and only 1 60 RP in my pen. Sure you might not need that many every game, but I like options based on how I think my opponent would do against certain speeds, release points..etc.

Also, still gives room for all 95+ lineup.
