You keep your rating and the record stays in the lifetime leaderboards. It shows 0-0 in game tho.

Yeah but I think a lot of people don’t play RS as much because they’re trying to protect their record.

for sure that is true !!!!
i always sit in the lower levels because its just more fun to win all the time
i hardly play the game there is no way i am coming close to maxing programs or doing the required IP or feel the need to grind to WS

Nah, people don’t play because hitting sucks, diving plays are out of control and the foul tips are very annoying.
At least that’s why I don’t play it as much.

At least that’s why I don’t play it as much.
Then why do they still play BR and Events?
When I lose a three inning game with something dumb or win with something dumb, I shake my head and move on. Nine inning games take such a time investment that it annoys me to death to have the ridiculous gameplay impact things the way it does. Not to mention the reward for ranked is not near as good as BR or Events.

You have 9 innings to overcome those dumb things though. And why care about rewards when you’re just playing BR and Events and can’t even use these rewards half of the time?

You have 9 innings to overcome those dumb things though. And why care about rewards when you’re just playing BR and Events and can’t even use these rewards half of the time?
Sorry man, just a different experience for me. Events and BR are way more enjoyable for me. I would love to play more ranked and use “my team”, but I don’t have the experience of having nine innings to overcome those things. My experience is going up early then nothing falling and then in the eighth or ninth my opponent who hasn’t been able to hit anything gets on by an error then has a bloop and a bomb. Obviously not every game, but way too often. Same thing happens in my favor….I am getting dominated and then a miracle happens late in the game when I should get the loss. Ranked just isn’t worth the time investment for me.
Also, while I would love to use those rewards for ranked, I can still use them offline and for collections.

I’m just trying to give a different perspective and also say why I think this may have been intentional on SDS’ part. Same reason they hide records on this forum now. A few years ago you couldn’t even comment on here without a good record without being completely discredited if your record wasn’t good enough.
People put too much weight in their record on this game. Which doesn’t make sense because you’re going to lose in baseball. That’s why they play 162. But Madden no one cares and football it would make more sense to care about W/L. It’s just an interesting thing to me comparing the communities and what people care about.
