I’ve had really bad luck with lineouts, the few homeruns I hit with him yesterday were dashboarded too

I hit pretty well with Brett, but it would be way better if I approached the at bats differently. I make the mistake of feeling like I can destroy absolutely anything, while my opponents pitch me like I am an early 2000s Bonds. Pretty sure I will make the same mistake with Cutch.

While I am not playing this year's game, there are players I just cannot hit with. Aaron and Cepeda especially.

When I got Brett I actually started slow with him and it was all on All-Star Events. I was hitting ~.270 with him. Started using him in Ranked and he became my best hitter. I almost feel better hitting with him on HOF. I believe I was 55th to P5 him and he’s been steady at .400+ Avg and has 90+ HRs.
I imagine Cutch will be the same for you. It’ll click and he’ll be one of your best. I love him so far and I’ve even been pressing a bit and getting pitched around but he’s still doing well and hitting bombs.

The card might not be good for you. Like I cannot hit with Mike Trout. I just can’t. But I’m hitting 550 with Jorge Polanco lol. I’m 2 cards from cutch which I’ve historically hit awful with Andrew McCutchjn, but I rake with George Brett.

Right some cards it’s just the swing. Like for the life of me I can’t use guys like Mike Piazza with his long swing but Charlie Blackmon or Aldelberto Mondesi swing are cracked

I wish they bring back the Mondesi high diamond card from 2020, I believe it was a 98 with 65 power against RHP when it was really 165

If it makes you feel better I unlocked cutch last night put him lead off with Brett at 2, his first at bat single. Then the guy intentionally walked him 2 times. Which Georgie liked, then 0-2 with 2 fly outs I was just under. His defense isn’t as great as I thought it would be

Custom practice is where I go to force myself to "git gud" with a card. (I still cant hit with big Frank tho. lol)

Absolutely, people hit differently with different swings. I’m with you on Piazza’s swing; though some people hit well with him.

I haven't used Cutch online yet but I will tonight. I'll start grinding for 300 innings because I'm definitely not good enough to make WS. Sometimes I do well with a player but not every version of them. Like last year I did great with LS Trout but sucked with Flashback Trout. This year I did well with the lower diamond Piazza but can't hit with the Takashi one.

I got Cutch hours after the collection dropped and honestly, there are a bunch of other CF, OF that I am better with......great card with great attributes, but some cards are just better than others for whatever unknown , built-in reason. The attributes on cards aren't the only thing. I think quirks are HUGE....and I think some cards just seem to turn o9n inside pitches better, etc......I remember when I was grinding out Topps June Monthly, I would hit these just inside the foul pole HR's with Brian Reynolds on inside pitches that would be foul balls on 90% of the cards I have used.....

I started 0for23.... This isn't one of those but I turned it around post... I hit him lead off... Maybe I am trying too hard at that spot... Dropped him down to 6th...
