It would be cool if they changed Martes card on Wednesday
I think this went by a lot of people. Proves they failed Spanish in school! 'Martes on Wednesday?' Brilliant, if that's where you were going 🤪

As a Reds fan, stoked to get Noelvi but I’ll definitely miss Castillo. Just a great person and pitcher, but such is life in the Reds world
We have a top farm in baseball now, just hope the young talent can pan out and if so, we then decide to spend some [censored] money and pay them if/when the time comes

Noelvi is fun to watch. Good pop and speed, good contact, clutch. Most feel he will move to a corner IF spot eventually. I’m sad to see him go, but I think it’s a good deal for both sides.
Those saying M’s got fleeced are probably Yankees fans. Believe me, Toronto is not stoked about potentially facing Castillo, Gilbert and Ray in a WC playoff.

I don’t know if anyone is fearful of facing that lineup. CF and first base are the only spots where the M’s have at least a league average hitter. If Mariners are serious about making a run in the playoffs, they should probably deal for a bat or two.

I doubt DiPoto is done, but we’ll see. I’m not sure where you are getting your stats, but other than CF and 1b, M’s are also above league average in wrc+ at C, 3b, SS. Hell. Even utility guy Dylan Moore is above league average.
Maybe nobody is afraid of that lineup, but pitching and defense win baseball games, along with timely hitting.

SS, JP started ok, but he hasn’t been great - he has like a 720 ops, Eugenio is at what? 730? I didn’t see a C on their roster that hits at all. But if you think it’s a good lineup, I won’t argue with you.

Cal Raleigh is the C I was talking about. He isn’t hitting for average but leads the AL in home runs by a catcher.
Obviously they could be better offensively. Who couldn’t? Averaging 4 runs a game means you have to give up less than that every game. Adding Castillo makes that a lot easier to do.
Should be an interesting second half!

Didn’t realize he was hitting for that much power. Still think they should try to get another bat to add in with the OFers they have coming back from injury to give France and JRod some help

Agreed. I don’t think Jerry is done, but I suspect it will be a subtler move. Maybe a Joey Wendle type? Whit Merrifield? Probably won’t be a blockbuster, but I guess we’ll see…

With Julio Rodriguez now out for at least 10 games will see what the Mariners do before Tuesday.
