Account Ban Course of Action
-
So I will be the first to admit my kid purchased stubs months ago from a third party site without my knowledge and was banned by SDS fro a year in the mass ban event at the start of this MLB 22 season.
When I reached out to SDS they replied and explained, I apologized and explained the situation. A few days later the ban was lifted like it was for many players. I told my kid we buy stubs through SDS/playstation like we normally do and we do not use third party sites, and listed the reasons why. Kid agreed all good.
Here is my issue, a week ago we are again banned by SDS for stub transfering but this time for almost two years. When I reached out to SDS about the ban they have not replied. I know for a fact we did not purchase stubs off a third party site like the first time.
I want to know why I am banned again and how SDS can do this.
You can't ban someone, un-ban someone and then months down the road re-ban/punish them again for the first issue.
It is like hey you did your time, you are free to go but as soon as you leave jail they pick you back up and say "meh we changed our mind, you are going back to jail"
SDS are clearly making up their own rules with and feel no need to give a reason why. It is like some employee Mark is like, hey let's ban all those people again just cause.
I now this sounds silly but there are clearly a # of people who are affected by this ban for the same reason I am, what course of action do we have, any lawyers on here??? Hahahah

Didn’t they do server maintenance last week or 2. Sounds like something got messed up during that, like sometimes your settings are reset in game after maintenance.
-
You are correct it did happen after the last server maintenance but you would think with the amount of people complaining about the ban someone would have clued in at SDS there was an issue.
-
I haven't experienced this but I read some comment sections on youtube regarding these bans that there are people on instagram you can reach out to that are able to get these lifted rather quickly. No idea if it works but I would give it a shot if I was in the same boat.

You are correct it did happen after the server maintenance but I would think with the amount of people it has affected and the amount of messages/complaints SDS has received they would have addressed the issue one way or another by now.

yeah I saw some of those on insta when the ban first started and it looked like a bot was posting those replies about the magic accounts that can get your account unlocked.

I'm not a lawyer but I can tell you that you have no legal recourse, they certainly can legally ban you again if they want to.
-
So I don’t wanna be a [censored] but this is mlb show you can best players who have full 99 team and beat with a 80 team you don’t need to even buy stubs - u can play conquest and get 94s from programs and 99 big poppi and if you get banned why by cards again from site I won’t buy Stubbs until sds listen to us and I don’t need to they messed up co op with 6 inning so I just need 4 solids players I don’t need relief cause NOONE uses them in 6 innings
-
Here's my issue. I seem to be "banned" from the online website marketplace, but I can log into the Companion app no problems and can also play the game on my console no problem. I've never purchased stubs before (legally or illegally) and the only thing I use the marketplace for is to flip some players while I'm at work. I've sent in 3 tickets about it and heard nothing.

Sounds like you were banned for two different reasons. the first being you bought stubbs off a different website and second for transferring stubbs between accounts. Both no no's.
-
I have never been banned or warned of wrong doing but I got banned the same day a lot of people did for two years!! It’s a mistake but I can’t even get a reply so it can be corrected. This has to be the worst customer service I’ve ever dealt with. I just want to play on my account

Similar situation here. I am new to this game and I heard there were often stub sales. Decided to Google "mlb the show stub sales" and bought some stubs at a discounted rate. Pretty dumb thing to do in hindsight but I am an old man gamer and had no idea how any of this worked.
I was banned at the start of the year and then un-banned. Once un-banned I bought $300 CAD worth of legit stubs from the PS Store which is down the toilet. My son and I spent hours grinding to build up our squad too and then we were hit by this ban again.
I've explained what happened and apologized to them via tickets and emails/DMs to their staff. I also asked quite politely if I could at least receive a refund on the stubs I purchased after the ban, but no luck there.
It's a real shame because I really like this game and probably would have spent thousands of dollars with SDS over the course of the next several years and boosted their engagement numbers incredibly. I'll give them one week to address this and then move on from this game for good. Another company who appreciates their player base can get my money.

my game keeps crashing on my switch and my play station 5 i cant even get into to the game i tried reaching out for support and the representative didnt even get back to me i emailed them at least 5 times for a status update on my claim and no one respond was wondering if anyone can help

I understand the frustration and the desire for an answer but the problem is you may be stuck in a queue behind 2,000 other players who sent in 5 e-mails or created 5 tickets. So instead of being 2,001 in their queue you are now 10,001

Thank you I understand I appreciate you giving me this feedback

Sds did you a favor. If this two year ban sticks unfortunately you'll walk from the game and when next year's game comes out. You will look at it and say...it's the exact same game as last year... wait. What did they change?

Has anyone heard anything about there ban?

Multiple year bans crack me up. You're not banned from playing The Show for that many years. You're banned from playing that version of The Show for that many years.
So the people that are banned are only banned from playing 22. Once 23 drops; you can play that version.
